MAKE THE EXPERIENCE TANGIBLE

Give your next customer
someone to relate to.

A good customer story answers the questions a sales page can leave open.

What was the challenge? Why did they choose you? What was it like to work together? What changed? A real person explaining those details can help a prospective customer picture their own project.

We create customer testimonial and case study videos as one joined-up production service. The story can be a concise account of the customer’s experience or a more detailed look at the work behind it. The format follows what your audience needs to understand.

THE APPROACH IN PRACTICE

Sony × AMWORLD.
A partnership, explained.

Commissioned via AMWORLD / Mitchell & Stones, this corporate testimonial brings Sony’s perspective on a specialist logistics relationship to the screen.

01 / THE INTERVIEW

Space for a clear voice.

At Sony Europe’s London headquarters, one videographer filmed a two-camera interview with three-point lighting and professional audio. The London shoot took four hours.

02 / THE SUPPORTING FOOTAGE

An activity with a purpose.

Darren from Sony gave the visiting AMWORLD team a tour. It gave everyone something to talk about while we filmed natural interaction and details around the headquarters.

03 / THE FINISHED STORY

Context around the conversation.

The finished film combines the interview with supporting imagery to explain the partnership. See our article on natural corporate interviews and B-roll for the thinking behind the shoot.

FROM FIRST QUESTION TO FINAL FILM

A clear plan.
A human conversation.

  1. 01

    Find the customer story

Start with the audience and the question they need answered. We help identify the customer's challenge, why they chose you, what working together involved and the difference they can describe. Specific experiences give the film substance.

  2. 02

    Prepare the people

Agree themes and practical details in advance. Contributors know what the conversation will cover, who will be there and how long to allow. Helpful prompts give them confidence while leaving room for their own words.

  3. 03

    Film the conversation and context

We set up the interview for clear sound, considered lighting and a comfortable eyeline. Then we capture relevant activity, people and details to help the viewer understand what the customer is describing.

  4. 04

    Shape, review and deliver

We build the story from the strongest answers, connect them with supporting footage and refine sound, colour and titles. You gather feedback from the agreed reviewers before we prepare the approved final versions.

CONTRIBUTOR PREPARATION

Prepared to talk.
Free to be themselves.

A customer shouldn’t have to perform a polished sales pitch. Before filming, we work with you to identify useful topics, examples and facts, then guide the interview at a pace that suits the person.

We explain where to look, leave room to think and revisit an answer when needed. Good preparation also means protecting the contributor’s time: a realistic schedule, an agreed room and a clear contact on the day.

SUPPORTING FOOTAGE WITH A JOB TO DO

Show the world
behind the words.

The interview gives the film its voice. Supporting footage gives it a setting, rhythm and something concrete to follow.

We plan relevant activity: a customer using the service, a team explaining a process, a product in context or the details of a workplace. Where access is limited, we agree what can be filmed and whether suitable existing material is available.

The aim is to make the customer’s account easier to understand. Genuine activity and specific details are more useful than asking people to repeat an awkward handshake for the camera.

ONE PRODUCTION. PLANNED DELIVERABLES.

The story in full.
The moments you need.

Decide where the films will be used before the shoot. That lets us plan interviews and supporting shots with the final lengths, audiences and screen shapes in mind.

The complete customer story

An interview-led film for your website, sales conversations or presentations. Length follows the substance of the story and the attention you can reasonably expect from the audience.

Shorter campaign edits

Focused versions built around a specific question, benefit or use case. Plan these before filming so the interview gives each shorter edit a clear beginning and enough context.

Formats for each destination

Landscape, square or vertical versions can be scoped for the channels you use. We plan framing, captions, names, brand graphics and safe areas around the agreed formats.

Deliverables are agreed in your quote. Extra edits, captions and formats are scoped in advance; they are not assumed to be included in every filming booking.

SCOPE FIRST. CLEAR COSTS.

A quote for
your customer story.

The number of contributors, location access, supporting footage and final edits all affect the production. Share the story you want to tell and we’ll explain what the project needs.

Standard filming starts at £249 for the first hour per operator, then £99 for each consecutive additional hour. Editing is £49/hour. Travel, extended preparation and specialist requirements are quoted separately where needed.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before the
conversation starts.

What is the difference between a testimonial video and a case study video?

A testimonial centres on a customer's experience and point of view. A case study usually explains more of the challenge, the work and the outcome. One well-planned production can do both: a fuller customer story with shorter testimonial edits, where these are included in the brief.

Do our customers need to learn a script?

Usually no. We can share topics and example questions in advance, then guide a conversation on the day. Contributors should feel prepared without having to memorise praise. Names, figures and technical details are worth checking beforehand; personal answers work best in the customer's own language.

What if a contributor is nervous on camera?

Allow time to settle into the setting and start with familiar questions. We explain the setup, guide the eyeline and leave space for pauses or another take. A quiet room and a small number of people around the interview can help. Tell us about any access or communication needs when planning.

Can you film at our customer's premises?

Yes, subject to permission and practical access. We agree the interview space, supporting activity, contributor availability and any restrictions before the shoot. A useful room has manageable background noise and enough space for lighting and cameras. We are based in Suffolk and film across the UK.

Can one shoot produce several customer stories?

It can, when the schedule and locations allow enough time for each interview and its supporting footage. We plan the questions, room changes and contributor timings rather than assume every story takes the same amount of time. Multiple sites or a larger cast may need extra days or crew.

Can you include captions and social media versions?

Yes. Captions, shorter edits and different aspect ratios can be included in the agreed scope. Tell us the intended platforms and formats before filming. Each additional version needs editorial and finishing time, so we identify these deliverables in the quotation.

Who checks the film before it is released?

We agree the review and sign-off route with you before editing. Nominate one person to consolidate comments, including feedback from the customer or partner where needed. Check names, job titles, factual claims and permission to publish. We deliver the agreed versions after approval.

How much does a customer testimonial video cost?

Our standard filming rate is £249 for the first hour per operator and £99 for each consecutive additional hour. Editing is £49 per hour. The complete quote depends on preparation, interview numbers, locations, filming time and final versions. Travel, extended planning and specialist requirements are agreed separately where needed.

How long does production take?

The schedule depends on contributor availability, locations, editing scope and approvals. We agree filming, review and delivery dates before booking. Tell us about launch deadlines early and allow time for your customer to review the film; a short finished video can still need several stages of preparation and editing.

LET’S FIND YOUR CUSTOMER STORY

Who could tell
your next story?

Tell us about your customer, the relationship and what you want the film to help people understand. We can talk through contributors, locations and a practical production plan.

Still choosing the right customer? Start with the challenge you want to illustrate and we’ll help you think through the brief.
