PEOPLE MAKE THE STORYOn location with Opul Life, Essex
THE BUSINESS BEHIND THE LOGO
What makes you you?
The way you work. The people you bring together. The reason you started.
A brand film turns those things into a story people can see and hear. It introduces your business through its people, its character and the work that matters to you.
Our brand video production starts with something specific: a person, a place, an idea or a real piece of work. We shape the interviews, imagery and edit around that story and the audience you want to reach.
Real corporate and commercial projects, each with a different storytelling approach.
01 / PEOPLE & PURPOSE
OPUL LIFE · ESSEX
A company story. A human connection.
For Opul Life, a conversation with CEO Henry Dankwa gave the film its voice. Community outreach in Chelmsford and Colchester showed the team’s work in practice.
The combination makes an abstract idea tangible: you hear from the business and see the relationships around it.
Two exhibition films brought together machinery, working farms and Norfolk landscapes. Ground filming and aerial views connected the detail of the work with its scale.
An interview at Winchester Golf Academy sits alongside footage of the venue in use. The customer’s perspective and the working environment give a business service a recognisable setting.

START WITH THE STORY YOU NEED
A film that feels like your brand.
Different subjects call for different ways of telling the story. We can help you choose.
01
Your company story
Introduce the people behind the business, what you believe and the work you do. A clear centrepiece for your website, pitches and first conversations.
02
A founder’s perspective
Build the film around a thoughtful interview, with real activity and detail to give the words context. Helpful when the story starts with a person.
03
Purpose in practice
Show a value through something people can see: a community relationship, a way of working or a project. Make the specific story carry the message.
04
A visual brand campaign
Let location, people, movement and sound establish a distinctive feeling. Shape a main film and shorter edits around the campaign’s placements.

WORDS WITH SOMETHING BEHIND THEM
Give the story something real.
When a film says a business cares about people, the pictures should show what that means. A real conversation or a small working detail can say more than another line of claims.
For Opul Life, the interview and community visits gave us two useful layers: an explanation of the company and activity that supported it. Your film may need a different balance.

EXPLORE / A COMPANY STORY
Put a person at the centre.
A thoughtful interview can give the film a clear voice. Show the team, the setting and the details of your work alongside it, so the audience can connect the person with the business.
Useful things to capture
A founder or team interview, everyday activity, key locations and the details that make your work recognisable.
Choose a real piece of work that expresses a value. Follow the people involved, capture what happens and use their perspective to explain its importance.
Useful things to capture
Genuine activity, conversations with the people involved and the details that put the story in context.
A customer perspective or a close look at your process can make a business easier to understand. Pair the account with footage that lets the viewer see the setting and the work for themselves.
Useful things to capture
A customer or contributor interview, the product or service in use and your team’s working process.
For your website Give the main film a clear opening and a useful place on the page. A separate silent background loop may serve the design; keep a full film with sound available to play.
For social media Plan a shorter opening, vertical framing, captioned versions and space for platform controls. A crop of the website film will not always tell the same story.
For presentations & exhibitions Check the screen shape, playback setup and whether sound is practical. Readable captions and graphics can help the story work in a busy room.
Choose a placement, or leave it open and we can help you decide.

IF WE’RE ALREADY FILMING, MAKE THE DAY WORK HARDER.
When the people, location and production kit are already together, a little forward planning can turn one shoot into far more useful content.
That doesn’t mean filming everything for the sake of it. We plan the outputs that support your campaign, audience and budget.

Useful answers about planning, filming and editing your brand film.
What is a brand film?+
A brand film introduces the character of a business: its people, purpose and point of view. It can use interviews, observed activity, a visual narrative or a combination of these. The aim is to give someone a clear sense of who you are and why your work matters.
How is it different from a promotional video?+
A promotional video often focuses on a particular product, service, launch or offer. A brand film puts the wider identity of the business at the centre. The two can overlap; we choose the approach around the audience and what you need the film to do.
How much does brand film production cost?+
Standard on-location video production is £249 for the first hour per videographer, then £99 per consecutive additional hour. Video editing is quoted separately at £49 per hour. A brand film may also require extended creative development, several locations, additional crew or specialist costs. We agree those in advance. These are production rates, not a complete film package.
Do we need a script or a finished idea?+
No. Start with your audience, what you want them to understand and where the film will appear. We can help develop the approach and interview questions. Extended scripting, storyboarding and creative development are scoped separately when needed.

What if our team is not used to being on camera?+
Our videographers guide the interview as a conversation, so your team can speak in their own words instead of memorising a script. We agree the themes beforehand and plan the setting, lighting and sound. Allowing time for people to settle in helps us capture a natural account of your business.
How long should a brand film be?+
The right length depends on the story and placement. We agree a target duration in the brief, then plan shorter versions where they have a useful role. A website introduction and a social advertisement do not need to tell the entire story in the same way.
Can we have social edits and photography too?+
Yes. We can plan social media videos, vertical and landscape edits, captions and brand photography alongside the main brand film. These deliverables need to be agreed before filming so our videographers can capture the right material. Simultaneous photography and video production will normally need separate operators.
Where do your videographers film brand videos?+
Our Suffolk videographers work across Ipswich, Sudbury, Bury St Edmunds and the wider county. We also provide brand film production in Essex, Cambridgeshire, London and throughout the UK. Filming and video editing schedules depend on access, contributors, locations and deliverables. Share your launch date early so we can plan the shoot, review and delivery.
Are revisions, music and captions included?+
Where editing is quoted, two reasonable review rounds within the original agreed brief are included. We agree captions, music licensing, voiceover and any additional versions in the scope. Extra deliverables or a substantial change of direction are quoted before the additional work begins.
