CAPTURE IT YOUR WAY

You have the access.
We have the edit.

Some of the best moments happen when a camera crew isn’t there.

A colleague explaining an idea. A product taking shape. The small details behind a busy day. Film them as they happen, then let us find the thread that makes them work together.

Our Film It Yourself service combines your own footage with professional video editing. It’s a practical option for teams, creators and personal projects that need a finished video without arranging a full shoot.

FROM CAMERA ROLL TO CLEAR STORY

More than
joining clips.

Good editing gives a film direction. We choose the moments that support your message, shape the pace and make the sound and pictures work together.

  • Story, structure and a purposeful opening
  • Colour correction and balanced sound
  • Music, titles and brand graphics to suit the brief
  • Captions and channel-ready versions, where agreed

A FLEXIBLE WAY TO MAKE VIDEO

What will you make?

01

People, in their own words

Team introductions, customer stories and leadership updates. Capture people where they feel comfortable, then give their message a clear structure.

02

Everyday brand content

Behind-the-scenes clips, product demonstrations and regular social updates. Keep filming as things happen; let us shape the edit.

03

Shared moments

Community projects, celebrations and event contributions. Bring footage from different people together into one considered story.

A SIMPLE HANDOVER

Your camera.
Our craft. One film.

  1. 01

    Tell us the idea

Share the audience, message, deadline and where the video will appear. Already have footage? Tell us roughly how much and send a sample when requested.

  2. 02

    Capture the pieces

Film on your phone or camera. We can discuss framing, sound and a simple shot list before you start, so you collect the material the edit needs.

  3. 03

    Send the originals

We agree a file-transfer method. Send original clips, brand assets and useful notes together, with filenames that make the story easy to follow.

  4. 04

    Review your film

We assemble the story, refine the finish and share it for feedback. Review rounds, delivery dates and final formats are agreed in your quote.

BEFORE YOU PRESS RECORD

Small changes.
Better footage.

Start with the basics: a clean lens, steady framing, good light and clear sound. Then think about what you are filming.

Put the voice first.

Choose a quiet room, bring the microphone close and record a short test. Keep the camera at eye level, with soft light falling onto the face.

CLEAR SCOPE. A CONSIDERED QUOTE.

An edit built
around your footage.

A few selected clips and a folder of several hours need different amounts of editing. We scope your project around the material, the message and the finished versions you need.

Send us the approximate footage length, intended film length and deadline. We’ll confirm what is included, how feedback will work and when you can expect delivery.

What shapes your quote?

  • Amount and condition of the original footage
  • Story development and editing complexity
  • Graphics, music and caption requirements

THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOUR EDIT

A feel for our work.

Explore films from our wider production portfolio. These are examples of our filming and editing work, rather than self-shot customer projects.

A FEW PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Before we
start cutting.

Can I film everything on my phone?

Yes. A recent smartphone can work well for self-shot video. Clean the lens, use good light, keep the camera steady and pay particular attention to sound. Tell us where the film will be used before choosing landscape or portrait framing.

Can you edit footage I have already recorded?

Yes. Tell us the approximate amount of footage, the devices used and what you want to make. A short sample helps us check quality and compatibility before agreeing the editing scope.

Do you provide filming equipment?

This service is built around footage you record on your own phone or camera. Equipment hire and professional filming are separate requirements to discuss with us when planning the project.

What can the edit include?

Depending on your brief, the edit can include selecting clips, shaping the story, colour correction, audio balancing, music, titles, captions and branded graphics. We specify what is included, along with the number of versions and review rounds, in your quote.

Can you fix shaky footage or poor sound?

Some issues can be improved, but editing cannot reliably recover missing detail, clipped audio or badly out-of-focus footage. Send a sample first so we can explain what is realistic and whether a short reshoot would help.

How do I send the footage?

Contact us first and we will agree a suitable transfer method for your files. Keep the original recordings and upload those rather than compressed copies from messaging apps. You can include a shot list, preferred takes, logos and brand guidelines.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

We quote around the amount of source footage, complexity of the edit, finished length, graphics, captions and required versions. Delivery and feedback dates are agreed before work starts. Tell us about a fixed deadline at the enquiry stage.

Can you make landscape and vertical versions?

Yes, when the source footage supports both crops. Let us know the intended channels before you film so we can discuss framing. Separate cuts, captions and aspect ratios are scoped in the quote.

Can you work with clients outside Suffolk?

Yes. The editing workflow can be handled remotely, with files and feedback shared online. We are Suffolk based and work with clients across the UK.

Can I include music, photos and other people's clips?

Yes, provided you have permission to use the material and the people featured are happy with its intended use. We can discuss suitable licensed music as part of the edit. Tell us whether the film is for internal use, public channels or advertising.

LET’S MAKE SOMETHING OF IT

A folder full
of possibilities.

Tell us what you have filmed, what you want to say and where the video will be seen. If you haven’t started filming yet, we can talk through the approach.
