Natural moments
Activities, conversations, shared interests and the everyday relationships between residents and staff. We look for genuine engagement, not a succession of staged smiles.

CARE HOME PHOTOGRAPHY · SUFFOLK, ESSEX & UK-WIDE
Natural photographs of residents, the people who support them and the spaces they call home. Thoughtfully planned for your website, brochures and communications, with the life of the home coming first.
MORE THAN A BUILDING
The small moments say something a room photograph cannot.
A shared joke. A reassuring hand. A familiar activity that brings the room together. Care home photography should show the character of your home and the relationships within it, as well as the facilities.
We help care-home managers and communications teams build a useful image library without turning the day into a production. We plan around the home’s routine, listen to the staff who know the residents, and leave space for genuine moments to happen.
How we plan a considerate shoot ↘
↗THE WORK, NOT A STOCK LIBRARY
On 21 October 2026, we photographed activities, staff interactions and shared spaces at Eastham Care Home in Woodham Ferrers, Essex, for our ongoing My Home Life England project.
EASTHAM CARE HOME · PHOTOGRAPHY
Our brief was to show residents enjoying their day, the team engaging with them, and the home’s facilities. We worked through a three-hour schedule, from living-room dancing and mobility exercises to games and time together.
The full project delivered more than 500 photographs. The website gallery contains a selection of 50—not the full delivery.

BUILD THE LIBRARY YOU ACTUALLY NEED
Start with where the photographs will appear. We can then plan the subjects, orientation and breathing room each layout needs, rather than hoping one image will fit every use.
Activities, conversations, shared interests and the everyday relationships between residents and staff. We look for genuine engagement, not a succession of staged smiles.
Approachable staff portraits, team photographs and colleagues at work. Useful for your team page, recruitment materials and introducing the people behind your service.
Lounges, dining areas, gardens and agreed rooms. A mix of wider views and thoughtful details helps explain the layout and atmosphere without losing the human story.
We can plan banner-friendly landscapes, portraits for print and social channels, and detail photographs that support a story. Edited high-resolution files, web versions and any additional crops are agreed with your brief.
↗At Eastham, a 100W continuous light bounced off the ceiling gave us a no-flash approach. Lighting is planned for each home, not imposed as a fixed formula.
RESPECT IS PART OF THE BRIEF
We agree the images you need, the day’s routine, suitable locations and a named contact. Your home confirms permissions, approved uses and anyone or anything that must not appear in photographs.
We work with your team, keep equipment out of the way and adapt to how people feel. Nobody needs to perform for the camera. We avoid private care, confidential paperwork and screens, and move on whenever a person or situation needs space.
We select and edit the photographs for a consistent, natural finish, then deliver the agreed files. Publication and image use stay within the project’s agreed permissions and licence.
CLEAR STARTING RATES
The time needed depends on the home, the shot list, staff availability and whether you need portraits and interiors alongside activity coverage. A group of homes may benefit from a coordinated schedule and consistent visual brief.
We confirm photography, editing, travel and any additional requirements before you book. There is no fixed image-count promise: the right coverage matters more than a headline number.
See our full pricing guide →For example, three consecutive hours of photography with one photographer is £447 for coverage, before editing, travel and any agreed extras. This is a rate illustration, not the Eastham project invoice.
No VAT is currently added to our prices.

Practical details for managers, marketing teams and care groups planning a photography day.
We can plan natural resident and staff interactions, activities, team portraits, communal rooms, bedrooms and outdoor spaces. The final shot list depends on your priorities, access and the people who are happy and authorised to take part. We agree which areas and moments are off limits before the shoot.
Your home coordinates the appropriate permissions and confirms who may be photographed, where the photographs may be used and any restrictions. We work with a named member of your team on the day. Participation is optional; if someone does not want to be photographed or becomes uncomfortable, we stop or move on. Photography does not take priority over care.
We plan lighting and access around the home rather than asking activities to stop for the camera. At Eastham we used no flash, working with a continuous video light bounced off the ceiling. That is a real example, not a fixed setup for every home: we discuss what is suitable for your spaces and residents with your team.
Photography starts at £249 for the first hour per photographer, then £99 for each additional consecutive hour. Editing is £49 per hour. Travel and any additional requirements are quoted separately where applicable. We confirm the scope and total before booking.
We agree the expected coverage and deliverables with your brief; there is no fixed image count promised for every shoot. Our three-hour Eastham assignment delivered more than 500 photographs, with 50 selected for the website gallery. That is the scale of that particular project, not a standard package or a limit of 50 images.
Yes. We can make time for staff headshots, a team photograph and interiors alongside the activity coverage. Tell us which rooms, staff shifts and outdoor spaces matter most. Scheduling those photographs separately helps avoid rushing residents or pulling staff away at busy times.
Yes. Tell us the intended uses before the shoot so we can plan landscape, portrait and detail photographs, including space for text where needed. We agree edited files, web-sized versions and any specific crops as part of the brief. Image use must stay within the permissions and licence agreed for the project.
Yes. Photography and video can be planned together, including staff interviews and footage of the home. When important moments need both stills and video at the same time, we discuss a dedicated crew rather than assuming one person can cover everything. See our Healthcare & Care Video Production service for the video side of the brief.
We are based near Sudbury in Suffolk and can travel to care homes across Essex, London and the wider UK. We agree the shoot date, editing schedule and delivery deadline before booking. If a website launch, recruitment campaign or brochure has a fixed deadline, include it in your enquiry.
