2D & 3D ANIMATION / THE CAMERA GUYS

GIVE YOUR IDEA
ANOTHER
DIMENSION.

Some ideas need to be drawn. Some need depth. We help you find the visual language that brings yours to life.

THE RIGHT DIMENSION FOR YOUR IDEA

What needs
to be seen?

A service that needs explaining. A product with a hidden detail. A world that only exists in your imagination. The story helps us choose the technique.

FORM STUDY / 012D
ILLUSTRATIVE DESIGN STUDY

Make the idea clear.

Illustration, graphic shapes and carefully timed movement can turn a complicated message into a sequence people can follow. A distinctive visual language gives your story personality, even when there is nothing to film.

  • Explain a service or process
  • Introduce a brand or campaign
  • Bring diagrams and illustrations to life

Start with your message, brand guidelines and any existing artwork. We can then define a visual style and a sequence of scenes.

FIND THE RIGHT APPROACH

SELECTED ANIMATED WORK

An idea.
Now moving.

Two ways we have put graphics in motion: a client announcement and a film for our own brand.

ZERO EXCHANGECLIENT FILM / ANIMATED PROMOTION
01

A complex world.
A clear invitation.

A promotional animation for the Zero Exchange Hackathon Competition. Interface imagery, bold type and branded transitions introduce the event in a short, focused sequence.

02 / OUR OWN BRAND IN MOTION

A little personality.
A lot of movement.

Our own promotional animation plays with type, texture and pace. A different treatment for a different message.

BEFORE FRAME ONE

A few good decisions.
A stronger film.

Animation gives us freedom to create. A clear plan makes that freedom useful, with time to agree the story and the look before the detailed work begins.

  1. 01 / The story

    What should someone understand?

We agree the audience, message and intended use. A script and storyboard give the film a structure before production starts.

  2. 02 / The look

    What should it feel like?

Style frames establish the colours, composition and level of detail. This is where we align the visual direction with your brand.

  3. 03 / The movement

How does it all come together?

The approved direction becomes a moving sequence. Sound, review stages and final formats are planned into the production.

One film. Plan for every place it needs to go.

A website introduction, presentation or social campaign can need different versions. We agree length, sound, captions and aspect ratios as part of the brief, so the final files fit their purpose.

LET’S GIVE IT SHAPE

It starts
with your idea.

Send a few lines about what you want to show. A rough idea is a useful starting point.

Useful things to include

  • The message and intended audience
  • A style reference, if you have one
  • Where the film will appear
  • Your deadline and budget

For 3D briefs, mention any models, drawings or product references you already have. We can arrange a suitable way to share them.

Quoted around the work.
Design, duration, complexity and finished versions shape the cost. We agree the scope and review stages before we begin.

A FEW PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Should I choose 2D or 3D animation?

Choose around what the viewer needs to understand. 2D can be a strong fit for illustrations, diagrams and a graphic brand story. 3D can help when depth, shape, materials or spatial relationships matter. Share a brief and some visual references so we can discuss an appropriate approach.

How much does an animated video cost?

We quote around the script, duration, design work, scene complexity, modelling requirements, sound and number of finished versions. Existing artwork or usable 3D models can affect the scope. We agree the deliverables and review stages before production; there is no single price that fits every animation.

Can you work with our existing artwork or 3D models?

Send us the available files and a description of what you want to create. We will check suitability, detail and any preparation needed before confirming the production scope. Please include brand guidelines and usage permissions where relevant.

Can animation be combined with filmed footage?

Yes. Animation can sit within a filmed piece, explain a detail or connect live-action scenes. We plan the balance around the message and the footage available. Filming, editing and animated elements can be discussed together.

Can you include voiceover, music and social versions?

These can be included in the agreed scope. We discuss voice, script, music licensing, captions and delivery formats at the start. Planning landscape, square or vertical versions early helps keep key information clear in every crop.

How long will the project take?

The schedule depends on the amount of design, the animation technique and the review stages. Tell us your launch date when you enquire. We will set out a practical timetable with approval points before committing to delivery.
