WHY THE FIRST HOUR IS £249.
Even a short shoot needs preparation, equipment allocation, crew time, on-location setup and production overhead. The first £249 covers that foundation and your first on-location hour. Consecutive production time is then £99/hour per operator.

STANDARD SHOOT RATEWhat is normally included+
One experienced operator, professional camera systems and lenses, standard on-location setup and basic planning. Videography includes up to a three-camera setup where appropriate, three-point lighting where required and professional audio, including 32-bit float lavalier microphones/recorders where appropriate. Additional actively operated cameras may need more operators.
Booked time begins when crew arrive and start the agreed on-location setup. Normal off-site equipment preparation and normal pack-down have no separate fee. Delivery schedules are agreed around your project, with professional file handling and backups throughout production and post-production.
Bookings use complete hours: a planned 1 hour 30 minute shoot is booked as 2 hours. Genuine unexpected overruns after the booked period may be charged in 30-minute increments per operator: £49.50 for up to 30 minutes, or £99 for 31–60 minutes. Extended days and multi-day work are custom quoted.

EDITING & POST-PRODUCTION£49/hour · scoped around your deliverables+
Video editing is separate from on-location production. We estimate the required time from your footage and chosen deliverables before confirming the quote; filming hours do not automatically predict editing hours.
Promotional films, social edits, interviews, full presentations, event edits, cut-downs, versions, captions and motion graphics can all be scoped around your brief.
Where editing is quoted, 2 reasonable review rounds within the original agreed brief are included. New deliverables, substantial re-edits, extra versions, major changes of direction and other new scope are £49/hour, agreed with you first.
RAW / source-file handover: not included as standard. £249 preparation and transfer, plus suitable branded storage media at current retail cost. An appropriate client-supplied drive may be used where agreed. Extremely large or unusual datasets may be quoted individually.
PHOTOGRAPHY & RETOUCHINGStandard event processing included · detailed retouching £49/hour+
Photography uses the same £249 first hour and £99 per consecutive additional hour. Standard event-photo processing includes culling, exposure correction, white balance, normal colour treatment, cropping and standard image finishing.
Detailed retouching is £49/hour, with scope agreed first: skin retouching, product cleanup, background removal or replacement, compositing, complex object cleanup and substantial image manipulation.
Simultaneous photography and videography normally needs one photographer and one videographer. Each uses the standard operator rate, as reflected in the combined-service estimate.
PLANNING & PRE-PRODUCTIONNormal coordination included · extended planning £49/hour+
Normal emails and calls, reviewing your brief, straightforward shot planning and standard production coordination are included.
Extended pre-production is £49/hour where needed: scripting, detailed storyboards, extensive shot lists, location research, casting, complex schedules, substantial creative development and significant research. We identify and agree this work in advance.
TRAVEL & LOCATIONTravel may apply and is agreed before booking+
Travel is calculated from CO10 0JA using driving routes. Within 25 driving miles one way, travel is £0.45/mile for the estimated actual round trip.
Beyond that distance, mileage is waived. Estimated round-trip driving time is £49/hour, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. One charging method applies, not both. We confirm travel in your quotation.
Studio or location hire, permits, parking, accommodation, ferries, tolls and congestion/clean-air charges are quoted separately and approved before being incurred.
SPECIALIST EXTRASDrone, teleprompter, livestreaming, extra crew and more+
Drone: added to a production, £199 for the first allocated drone hour; standalone, £249 for the first allocated hour. Additional allocated time is £49/hour. This is allocated coverage, not continuous all-day availability. Subject to weather, airspace, location, permissions, applicable law and operational safety.
Teleprompter: £99 add-on for standard equipment and setup. Specialist operation or unusually complicated requirements are custom quoted.
Livestreaming: standard standalone coverage is £349 for the first on-location hour, then £99/hour. Time starts with arrival and setup, without a separate free broadcast hour. A straightforward add-on starts from £249, with additional time at £99/hour where suitable. Larger multi-camera streams, dedicated switching, separate operators, complex audio, specialist connectivity and redundancy systems need a custom quote.
Additional operators: £249 for the first hour and £99 per consecutive additional hour each. Larger crews, producers/directors, assistants, specialist audio, technicians and makeup are quoted around the project.
Talent & specialist requirements: models, actors, voiceover, studios, locations, licensed music, stock assets, specialist equipment, rentals and suppliers are quoted separately and approved before being incurred. These extras are not included in the normal operator rate.

What does £249 include?
The first on-location hour with one experienced operator, professional cameras and lenses, standard setup and basic planning. Videography includes up to a three-camera setup where appropriate, three-point lighting where required and professional audio, including 32-bit float lavalier microphones/recorders where appropriate. This does not mean three actively operated moving cameras.
Why is the first hour £249?
Every production has fixed preparation, equipment, crew allocation and on-location setup costs. The first-hour minimum covers those costs and the first on-location hour. Consecutive time is then £99/hour per operator.
What does £99/hour thereafter mean?
Each additional consecutive, whole booked hour after the first is £99 per operator. Bookings are in complete hours: a planned one-and-a-half-hour shoot is booked as two hours. Longer than 8 hours or multi-day projects are custom quoted.
Is video editing included in the filming price?
Video editing is quoted separately at £49/hour. Production time on location is not the same as the cost of a finished video project.
How is editing calculated?
We estimate the time required from your footage, chosen deliverables and agreed brief before confirming your quotation. Filming duration does not automatically determine editing hours, and you do not need to guess them.
What deliverables can you produce?
Promotional and highlight films, short social edits, interviews, full presentations and event edits, cut-downs, versions, captions and motion graphics. Choose what you need in the estimator or ask us to recommend a scope.
Are revisions included?
Where editing is quoted, 2 reasonable review rounds within the original agreed brief are included. New deliverables, substantial re-edits, changes of direction, extra versions and other additional scope are £49/hour, agreed with you first.
Is standard photo processing included?

How much is detailed retouching?

Is drone coverage included in the standard rate?
Drone is priced separately and booked as allocated drone coverage. An add-on does not mean continuous drone availability throughout the whole production day.
What does drone coverage cost?
Added to another production: £199 for the first allocated drone hour, then £49/additional allocated hour. Operations depend on weather, airspace, location, permissions, applicable law and operational safety.
Can I book drone-only work?
Yes. Standalone drone work is £249 for the first allocated hour and £49/hour thereafter. Editing and any special requirements are quoted separately.
What does a teleprompter cost?
The £99 add-on includes standard teleprompter equipment and setup. Specialist operation or unusually complicated requirements are custom quoted.
How much does livestreaming cost?
Standard standalone livestreaming is £349 for the first on-location hour and £99/hour thereafter. The first booked hour begins with arrival and agreed setup; it does not include an extra free broadcast hour. Complex broadcasts need a custom quote.
Can livestreaming be added to another shoot?
A straightforward livestream add-on starts from £249, with additional booked time at £99/hour where suitable. Larger multi-camera streams, dedicated switching, separate operators, complex audio, specialist connectivity and redundancy systems are custom quoted. Additional operators use normal operator pricing where required.
How is travel calculated?
From CO10 0JA. Within 25 driving miles one way, travel is £0.45/mile for the estimated actual round trip. Beyond that, mileage is waived and estimated round-trip driving time is £49/hour, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. One method applies, not both. Route estimates are confirmed in your quotation.
Does setup time count?
Yes. Booked production time begins when crew arrive and start the agreed on-location camera, lighting, audio, teleprompter or livestream setup. Normal off-site equipment preparation and normal pack-down do not carry a separate fee. Basic calls, emails, brief review, shot planning and coordination are included. Extended scripting, storyboards, research, casting and complex planning are £49/hour, agreed beforehand.
What if the shoot overruns?
Bookings use complete hours. Genuine unexpected overruns after the booked period may be charged in 30-minute increments per operator: up to 30 minutes is £49.50; 31–60 minutes is £99. Planned extra time should be booked in whole hours.
Can I have video and photography simultaneously?
Yes. This normally requires one photographer and one videographer. Both operators use the standard rate; for example, two operators for four hours is £1,092 in production costs. Video editing is separate; standard event-photo processing is included.
How much is another operator?
An additional photographer or videographer is £249 for the first hour, then £99 per consecutive booked hour. The estimator applies this to the same booked coverage as your main service.
What if I need a larger crew?
Select Larger crew and we will confirm the roles, schedule and cost. Several operators, a producer/director, assistants, specialist audio, technicians or makeup can be arranged around the project.
Do you charge VAT?
No VAT is currently added to our prices.
Are RAW footage and source files included?
Original footage/source-file handover is not included as standard. Preparation and transfer is £249 plus suitable branded storage media at current retail cost. An appropriate client-supplied drive may be used where agreed. Extremely large or unusual datasets may be quoted individually.
What about studios, models and external costs?
Studios, locations, permits, parking, accommodation, talent, voiceover, licensed music, stock assets, specialist rentals/suppliers, ferries, tolls and congestion/clean-air charges are quoted separately and approved before being incurred.
Can I have a final fixed quotation before booking?
Yes. The estimator gives a starting point. Tell us your rough idea and we will confirm production, deliverables, travel and any other requirements in a clear quotation before booking. Every cost is agreed up front.
Do you offer regular-client rates?
Preferential pricing may be available for retained clients, repeat work, regular or high-volume production and ongoing content relationships. Efficient planning and batch production help us shape a useful monthly content plan; no fixed discount applies to every project.
