For “Everything Is Never Enough”, we travelled around London with New Guardz, filming performances in several different settings within a five-hour booking. One videographer kept the camera moving and the shoot responsive to the group.

There was plenty of handheld videography: close performances, low angles and movement through the locations. It was another really fun shoot with the collective, with room to experiment both on the day and afterwards.

The film sits alongside “30 Degrees” and “Swarmer” in our New Guardz music video portfolio.

LONDON ON SCREEN

GOLDEN ARCADES.
BLUE EVENING LIGHT.

Leadenhall Market gives the video its most recognisable setting. Its red-and-gold frontage, repeated shop windows and glazed roof frame both the wider group shots and the closer performances.

The warm market scenes contrast with blue evening exteriors and pale stone columns elsewhere in the film. Those changes in colour and scale give each performance a different atmosphere while keeping London at the heart of the video.

THE POST-PRODUCTION

HANDHELD ENERGY.
CAREFULLY BUILT TRANSITIONS.

The editing was a big part of this project. We used extensive masking and transition work to enhance the footage, joining performances and locations with more than a straightforward cut.

Hand movements close to the lens, changing frame sizes and the movement of the camera give the finished sequence a physical rhythm. Warm light effects and a film-frame texture add another layer to the London imagery.

The result keeps the performers at its centre while allowing the edit to get playful. Read more about handheld music video filming and creative transitions.
