YLEM Energy commissioned The Camera Guys to photograph and film its work at Terra Firma’s power generation site in St Helens. The brief was to create a case study and testimonial film showing the site, the implementation and the service YLEM provides.
It is a story about more than machinery. The relationship between the two businesses, the experience of the customer and the engineers working on site all help explain what that service means in practice.
Bringing corporate video production and commercial photography together gave the project a consistent visual identity, from the wider plant to the people responsible for its operation.

Terra Firma’s St Helens gas peaking plant uses ten Cummins HSK78 generator sets with a combined output of 20MWe. The site provides flexible power to support the electricity network.
YLEM was appointed to provide operations and maintenance support. Its published case study describes a tailored maintenance service, remote communications support and access to engineers around the clock.
That partnership is the context for our film: showing the infrastructure alongside the practical expertise needed to keep it working.

A customer testimonial carries the story differently from a list of services. Filming Terra Firma and YLEM representatives at the plant puts their account in context: the equipment, the working environment and the people are all part of the same picture.
The interview-led approach gives viewers a way into a technical subject, while the surrounding site footage makes the discussion tangible. Rather than asking the audience to imagine the service, the film lets them see the setting and the work for themselves.
