THE CAMERA GUYS / JELLYSHOTZ
Jellyshotz.
A whole world
of flavour.
Product photography. Practical product films.
Festival stories. More than a year of creating.
01 / AN ONGOING CREATIVE RELATIONSHIP
From the first
product shot
to the festival field.
Jellyshotz needed a visual world as distinctive as the products themselves. We became their photography and video production team for a relationship that lasted more than a year.
The work began with the core range of 15 flavours: colourful jelly shots packaged in giant syringes, with two different box sizes and a different personality for every flavour. It grew into cocktail and wedding collections, product films, clean-background photography, festival coverage and a library of short videos for social media.
That continuity mattered. The same team could take an idea from a product shoot to a shop listing, then out into the crowd at an event. Across all those settings, our job was to make the products recognisable and the imagery feel unmistakably Jellyshotz.

THE PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY
Fifteen flavours.
Fifteen little worlds.
Every box gave us the beginning of a story.
We took the colours, illustrations and mood of the packaging and built a setting around them. Sometimes that meant sunshine and fruit. Sometimes it meant rippling water, a tropical shoreline or a stage filled with coloured light. The intention was to make each flavour feel different while keeping the whole range connected.
Backgrounds started in MidJourney, then went through Photoshop to refine the composition, colours and details. We displayed those finished images on a 70-inch OLED television behind the real products. The boxes, syringes and fruit were physically arranged and photographed in front of the screen.
Studio lighting brought out the colour of the jelly and separated the products from the backdrop. Reflections in the core product images were created in post-production, giving the final compositions a polished, consistent finish.
Read the full account of how we made the Jellyshotz photographs with a TV backdrop, from the original colour ideas to the finished reflections.
This is where creative product photography becomes more than a packshot: the background, props and lighting all explain something about the product before the viewer reads a word.
A 70-inch OLED. A kitchen counter. A carefully lit set.
A small footprint, with room to experiment.
The photography was made on a kitchen counter. With Sam recovering from a broken leg, a home setup made the work practical and kept repeated studio-hire costs out of a production that occupied an entire month.
The location was modest, but the approach was deliberate. The television let us change worlds without rebuilding a physical backdrop. Lighting, product position and camera angle still needed to work together for every frame; the screen was one part of the set, not a substitute for the photography.
It gave us time to work through the variations, adjust props and refine each arrangement. The value for the client was a substantial, coherent image library produced with an economical setup.

02 / THE CORE RANGE
Find your colour.
Explore five selected flavours from the 15-product shoot. Every photograph from these selected sets is included.
Gin / 9 PHOTOGRAPHS
Pear & Lemon
Warm window light, rich yellow tones and a cool marble-style surface give this collection a relaxed, sunlit feel. Fresh pear and lemon connect the scene to the flavour, while the green packaging stays unmistakable.
The full set moves from clean pack views to syringe arrangements and both box sizes together. Keeping the background consistent makes the photographs feel like a family, even as the angle and product combination change.

Apple & Lime
Bright green packaging meets a backdrop of colourful surfboards. Apple and lime props make the flavour immediately readable, and the cooler tones in the set give the green syringes room to stand out.
This collection sits naturally beside Pear & Lemon while having a character of its own. We photographed both pack sizes, individual syringes and grouped compositions, preserving a recognisable visual identity across the set.

Orange Splash
Orange packaging against electric blue pool water: a simple colour pairing with a strong sense of summer. Fresh oranges became part of the composition, with syringes positioned among the slices to carry the flavour through the foreground.
The same idea continued into the product video. A camera-slider move and a splash effect in the background turned the still-life concept into a moving reveal, keeping the photography and film visually connected.

Mango & Orange
A tropical sunset, warm sand tones and generous fruit props extend the orange packaging into a complete setting. The background adds atmosphere while the box and syringes remain the clear focal point.
This set includes the wider product arrangements alongside square variations. Those different compositions give the client more flexibility when placing the same product across a shop page, a promotional layout or a social post.

Wild Cherry
Deep cherry red takes centre stage against cyan spotlights and a concert-style backdrop. The guitarist on the packaging becomes the starting point for the setting, linking the illustrated box to the energy of a live show.
Dark cherries, bright syringes and the polished reflection treatment bring the foreground together. Large packs, small packs and standalone products all share the same stage, so the range stays consistent across its different sales images.
Select a photograph to explore the full set ↗For each core flavour, the brief covered three views of the six-syringe box, three of the two-syringe box, a standalone syringe arrangement and two compositions featuring both packs. At least nine images per flavour, with variations designed to work together across the store and marketing materials.
03 / BRINGING THE PRODUCTS TO LIFE
Real products.
Practical motion.
The product films grew out of the same visual ideas as the photographs.
We made these films before generative video became part of this kind of production. Camera moves, physical product arrangements and practical effects did most of the work, with selected visual effects added in After Effects.
For Orange Splash, we paired the pool-inspired setting with a moving camera-slider reveal and a splash in the background. Across the range, the challenge was to make a small object feel lively without losing the shape, label or colour that made it recognisable.
The result was a set of short product videos that carried the photography’s art direction into motion. Here are four of the flavour films, in their original vertical format.
BEHIND THE SCENES / THE STUDIO CAME HOME
A product launch.
A broken leg.
A kitchen studio.
The client had a launch and a deadline. Sam was housebound.
Recovering from a broken leg meant Sam could not travel to a studio. So we brought the studio to him, transforming his kitchen into a working production space. He spent an entire month shooting dozens of products there.
The phone footage below reveals one of the actual video sets: a product turntable, a Sony A7S III and Laowa 24mm probe lens, surrounded by lighting, diffusion and negative fill, with smoke in the setup.
This particular set used a black-cloth backdrop. It was a separate approach from the OLED television used for the styled product photographs. Different shots called for different tools, even within the same kitchen.
It is a glimpse of the work behind the finished content: adapting the space and working through the products while a launch deadline remained in view. Read Sam’s story of bringing the product-video studio into his kitchen.
04 / THE COCKTAIL COLLECTION
After dark.
In full colour.
A bar and club atmosphere, built one colour at a time.
For the cocktail collection, we pushed the screen-based setup in a different direction. Neon signs, soft bar lights and saturated colour gave each scene depth, while drinks, fruit and the real products grounded it in the foreground.
RGB lighting carried the colours from the television into the physical set. Reflective surfaces beneath the products helped connect those coloured highlights with the background, making the scene feel like one environment.
The aim was a convincing sense of place: a product that belonged in the bar setting. The full 25-image collection is below, from packaged mixes to finished drinks and standalone arrangements.
05 / THE WEDDING RANGE
A change of scene.
A softer kind of celebration.
Mojito. Margarita. Strawberry Daiquiri. Piña Colada.
The wedding collection needed its own visual language. White packaging, lighter surfaces and carefully chosen props moved the imagery away from the high-energy core range, while retaining the colour and character of each flavour.
We built four complementary settings: warm bokeh for Strawberry Daiquiri, water and timber for Margarita, a bright coastal feel for Mojito, and sand, coconut and blue sky for Piña Colada. The sets include hero images, individual syringes and smaller presentation packs, showing how the range works as a complete collection.
FROM THE SHOOT TO THE SHOP
Made to work
across the brand.
The photographs became working assets for the business.
Our main product images were used in the Jellyshotz online store, Amazon shop listings and marketing and promotional materials. The image library gave the client both an overall look for the range and the individual views needed to present each product.
Alongside the styled scenes, we photographed every product individually from multiple angles against green-screen and plain white backgrounds. Those images could be masked and have their backgrounds removed in Photoshop, providing flexible elements for brochures and other branding layouts.
That is a different job from a finished hero photograph. One image establishes the atmosphere; another needs to fit into a designer’s composition. Planning for both meant the client had a wider selection of useful assets from the production.

THE RETAIL DISPLAY FILM
A longer life on screen.
We also produced an hour-long promotional video for televisions on Jellyshotz display units in shopping centres. Designed to run on a loop, it brought the product content into a retail setting, extending the work beyond online listings and short social edits.
It was another use for a connected library of brand content: photographs for the store, compact films for a phone screen and a much longer programme for physical displays.
06 / OUT INTO THE CROWD
Same brand.
A very different set.
From carefully arranged products
to moments you only get once.
On the road
with Jellyshotz.
The relationship took us to food and music festivals around the country.
At every Foodies event we covered, we sent a photographer and a videographer. That gave us two ways to tell the story: still photographs of the people, products and festival unit, alongside moving highlight montages built around the atmosphere of the day.
Our coverage included Foodies in Chelmsford, Brighton, Winchester, St Albans, Norwich, Tatton Park and Syon Park, and more. We also worked at Neverland Festival, where the coverage included product placement on stage.
The brief went beyond filming a performance. We photographed and filmed festival-goers enjoying the products, the unit in action, products being sold and the live acts surrounding it. Together, those details showed the brand as part of the event.
Our festival videography and event photography worked side by side, giving Jellyshotz material for both immediate social posts and broader promotional edits.

07 / AN IDEA OF OUR OWN
Meet the
Jelly Cam.
A GoPro, an arm and a helmet. A completely different perspective.
We built the Jelly Cam to put the viewer right in front of the experience. A GoPro mounted on an arm attached to a helmet looked back towards the wearer as they tried the product, capturing the expression and the action together.
The rig gave the festival coverage a playful recurring idea. Instead of another shot from the edge of the crowd, it made the camera part of the moment, with a close, unusual viewpoint that suited Jellyshotz’s personality.
It is a good example of how our role developed over the relationship. Alongside covering the brief, we brought production ideas that could give the client a different kind of social content.

ONE CONNECTED BODY OF WORK
From a kitchen counter
to screens across the country.
A year of making the same brand feel at home in very different places.
The Jellyshotz project brought together the detail of product photography, the craft of practical filmmaking and the unpredictability of live events. The result was a substantial library of work the client could use across its store, marketing, social channels and retail displays.
