THE STORY

FROM MUSIC VIDEOS TO A WEDDING FILM

We first knew Jake through our music video work. When it came to choosing someone to film his wedding to Lisa, that existing creative relationship meant he already knew how we worked and trusted us to capture the day in a way that felt natural to them.

The wedding took place on 18 August 2024 at The Norfolk Mead Hotel, Venue & Spa in Coltishall. With its Georgian country-house setting, walled garden and waterside grounds, the venue gave the film a strong sense of place without taking attention away from the people at the centre of it.

The finished piece is warm, lively and personal: confetti, big reactions, unguarded moments during the speeches and a golden-hour portrait sequence that closes the day on a cinematic note.

THE APPROACH

ONE VIDEOGRAPHER. THE WHOLE STORY.

This wedding was filmed by Sam as a solo wedding videographer. Working alone keeps the footprint small and the atmosphere relaxed, while careful preparation and multiple camera positions make it possible to cover the important parts of the day properly.

During the ceremony and speeches, cameras and dedicated audio were positioned to preserve the moments in full. Between them, the focus shifted to candid coverage: guests arriving, reactions around the tables, the couple together and the spontaneous details that give a wedding film its character.

It is a discreet approach suited to couples who want cinematic wedding videography without feeling as though their day has become a production set.

THE VENUE

A NORFOLK MEAD WEDDING

The Norfolk Mead is a country-house wedding venue in Coltishall, close to Norwich and within the Broads National Park. Its landscaped grounds, walled garden, private lake and red-brick Georgian architecture create plenty of variety within an easy walk.

For Jake and Lisa, that variety became part of the rhythm of the film: bright garden celebrations during the day, an intimate brick-walled setting for the speeches and soft evening light across the grounds for their couple portraits.
