THE BRIEF
Cover both performances without interrupting either one.
Polkadot Pantomimes brought its 2025 Easter tour of The Wizard of Oz to the Mercury Theatre in Colchester for two performances. The production starred CBBC presenter and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Karim Zeroual as the Scarecrow, supported by a West End cast.
Our brief combined two distinct jobs: record the complete stage performance and create a strong library of photographs for the company’s website and social channels. A dedicated videographer and photographer covered both shows, giving each discipline the attention it needed.

MULTICAMERA COVERAGE
Three continuous camera angles for a complete performance edit.
The video setup used three cameras recording continuously throughout each performance. This protected continuity across entrances, ensemble scenes and fast exchanges while giving the edit a choice of wide and closer views.
We used the material from one night to create a fully edited multicamera performance film. Recording both performances also gave the production a second complete set of coverage rather than relying on a single live show.
LIVE PERFORMANCE PHOTOGRAPHY
Promotional images made quietly from the auditorium.
Our photographer worked without flash so the audience and performers were not disturbed. A 35–150mm lens provided enough range to move between full-stage compositions, groups and character moments from the same working position.
The finished gallery gave Polkadot Pantomimes a varied collection for social media, its website and future promotion. For organisations planning similar coverage, our event and performance photography can be booked alongside filming.
