PHOTOGRAPHS WITH A PURPOSE

Your next proposal needs more than a logo.

A prospective customer may never visit your workshop or meet the person checking their order. The photographs in a proposal or on a service page have to make that expertise visible. A finished item proves one thing; a skilled person attending to it can explain something else.

For a Braintree business, we can build the brief around a small set of claims you want to support. Start with the work you are allowed to show, who does it and the details a buyer would recognise. We then plan photographs with enough context to stand alone beside your written explanation.

PEOPLE / PROCESS / RESULT

The person. The attention. The result.

These examples come from two genuine commissions: a Hive Kids staff portrait and our Jellyshotz product work. They show different photographic approaches, not a Braintree factory or workshop project.

Who takes responsibility?

An individual portrait gives a name and role a recognisable face. For a proposal, recruitment profile or specialist service page, decide whether the setting adds useful context or whether a simpler background makes the introduction clearer.

What does care look like?

This behind-the-scenes photograph shows a product being arranged on the Jellyshotz set. For your business, identify a real task that makes skill visible. The useful moment might be checking alignment, explaining a choice or handling a material.

What did that work produce?

A finished result completes the explanation. This commissioned Jellyshotz image uses real packaging and props against screen scenery. Your brief might instead call for a completed installation, an assembled component or a prepared order.

BEFORE WE LIFT A CAMERA

Agree what stays outside the frame.

Customer information

Review screens, delivery labels, order sheets and whiteboards before the session. Identify what must not be photographed rather than leaving every decision to retouching.

Unreleased work

Separate approved examples from prototypes, customer-owned designs or products awaiting launch. Nominate someone who can confirm which items are cleared for the agreed use.

People and operating rules

Choose participants in advance and tell them what the images are for. Where equipment is running, the person responsible for the workplace sets the safe positions and timing.

Build the photographs around the working day.

A photography session does not need every colleague to stop at once. We can group portraits into short appointments, photograph a finished item when it is available, then work around the task that happens at a particular time. Your organiser helps connect those windows.

Give us the intended page or document alongside the shot list. A small portrait beside a name and a wide image on a proposal cover need different compositions. We can also agree descriptive file names so your team can find the right person, process or result later.

BRAINTREE / ON LOCATION

A small portrait appointment and a session combining several work areas need different allowances. The quote defines capture time, setup, selection, finishing, usage and delivery. Photography does not certify a product or replace technical evidence in your proposal.

We travel to Braintree and the surrounding Essex business premises from Great Cornard near Sudbury. Share the exact site entrance and a named contact, especially where delivery access differs from the visitor entrance. Access time and any induction are included when planning the booking.

Within 25 driving miles of the quoted base, travel is £0.55 per round-trip mile. Beyond that, mileage is waived and estimated round-trip driving time is charged at £49 per hour. Parking, tolls and other necessary travel costs are agreed separately.

PLANNING YOUR SHOOT

The practical details.

Can we brief photographs for a tender or sales proposal?

Yes. Show us the document layout and the specific points the photographs need to support. We can plan portraits, agreed working activity and finished results, with usage and delivery requirements included in the quote.

What if some of our work is confidential?

Identify excluded items and areas before the visit, and give us a contact who can approve what is photographed. Any confidentiality or release arrangements need to be agreed for the commission. Do not send sensitive customer material with an initial enquiry.

Do we have to stop work for portraits?

We can arrange individual appointment windows around availability. Photographs involving real tasks need their own time and access plan; we agree that with your organiser instead of assuming everyone can leave their work together.

Are these Braintree business photographs?

The examples are wider portfolio work: a commissioned Hive Kids staff portrait, Jellyshotz product photography and photographs of that product set. They demonstrate the approach without claiming a Braintree workshop commission.

Can you deliver versions for our proposal and website?

Include the required shapes, dimensions and file formats in the brief. We can allow for them when composing and finishing the photographs. Additional layouts or detailed retouching should be agreed in the quote.

What do you need before a Braintree workplace session?

The address and access contact, the approved tasks or products, a participant list and the intended uses. Tell us about restricted areas, protective equipment and any activity that is only available at a particular time.

YOUR BRAINTREE PHOTOGRAPHY BRIEF

What should the next customer understand?

Tell us the three things your business wants to demonstrate, where the work happens and where the photographs will be used. We will help shape the session around that evidence.
