Colour Grading.
GIVE EVERY FRAME THE SAME LIGHT.

BEFORE AND AFTER

Drag to see what a grade does.

Cameras record flat so the edit keeps the detail. The grade brings the colour, contrast and mood back, scene by scene, and keeps every shot consistent.

WHY IT MATTERS

Colour is the first thing people feel.

A viewer rarely notices a good grade, but they feel it: skin looks healthy, the brand colour is right, a sunny day looks sunny and an interview in a grey office still looks warm. A film cut from several cameras, lenses or days can look like one production.

We grade in the same session as the edit or as a standalone stage on footage you supply. Tell us how it will be watched and we will finish for that screen, from a bright phone to a dark conference room.

HOW A GRADE COMES TOGETHER

Four passes, one look.

  1. 01

    Balance

Every shot is corrected for exposure and white balance first, so the material starts from the same place.

  2. 02

    Match

Shots from different cameras, angles and times of day are matched so cuts do not jump.

  3. 03

    Look

We develop the finish with you: natural, cinematic, bright and clean, or matched to brand guidelines.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Final checks on a calibrated display, then versions for web, social and broadcast if needed.

CLEAR RATES. AN AGREED SCOPE.

Know what goes into the quote.

Grading is charged by the hour as part of editing. A short film with one look takes a few hours; a multi-camera event or a series with several cameras takes longer.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Your questions,
answered.

Can you grade footage we filmed ourselves?

Yes. Send a sample first so we can check the format, bit depth and any log profile. Footage recorded in a flat or log profile gives us the most room; well-exposed standard footage still grades well.

Can you match our brand colours?

Yes. Share the brand guidelines or references and we will build the look around them while keeping skin tones natural.

Do you use LUTs?

Sometimes as a starting point, never as the finish. Every shot is still balanced and adjusted by eye.

What do you need from us?

The edited timeline or the final cut, the original files, and a note on where the film will be shown.

Where do you provide this service?

We are Suffolk-based and work across Essex, London and the UK. Post-production is handled at our studio, so you can send material from anywhere in the country.

How quickly can you turn it round?

It depends on the length and the number of versions. Tell us about any launch or event date when you enquire and we will plan the schedule around it.
