PHOTOGRAPHY / MANCHESTER

Manchester PhotographerMany locations. One visual identity.

Your Manchester team should belong in the same picture as the rest of your business. We plan portraits, workplace photographs and event coverage around a shared brief, with room for each location’s character.

PHOTOGRAPHS WITH A PURPOSE

A Manchester shoot that fits the bigger picture.

A regional office joins the website. New colleagues need profile pictures. The leadership team comes together for one day. Each is a different assignment, but the photographs may sit beside images made months earlier at another branch. Planning that relationship before the shoot saves awkward compromises when the pages are assembled.

The Camera Guys travels from Suffolk to Manchester for commissioned photography. Send the existing image set and the Manchester brief together: we can identify what should carry through, what needs updating and which photographs must stand alone. We do not have a Manchester office.

A REPEATABLE PORTRAIT BRIEF

Consistency starts with decisions you can repeat.

These two commissioned Hive Kids staff portraits show a shared outdoor setting and restrained treatment while leaving each person comfortable in the frame. They are examples from our wider portfolio, not evidence of a Manchester or multi-branch shoot.

For your team, we would first agree the background, camera height, crop, lighting and direction of gaze. A clean reference frame makes the next session easier to match. Uniform framing need not mean asking everyone to wear the same expression.

ONE GATHERING / TWO DIFFERENT NEEDS

Use the gathering. Leave room for the event.

If colleagues are already meeting in Manchester, it can be a sensible opportunity to photograph people who are rarely in one place. Ring-fence a portrait slot and a suitable room before the day. Otherwise a headshot list can quietly consume the time meant for networking and event coverage.

The My Home Life photographs shown here were made at an event in London. A wide view records people together; a tighter frame preserves the occasion’s identity. They demonstrate two complementary kinds of event still, rather than a promise that one photographer can cover simultaneous sessions.

Build the itinerary around people, not just postcodes.

  1. Before travel

Confirm the precise addresses, building access and who can approve the first images. Include setup and movement between locations; two nearby map pins do not guarantee a quick change of room.

  2. During capture

Start with the people whose availability is least flexible. Group photographs with the same lighting setup, then allow time for the environmental pictures that make this branch recognisable.

  3. At handover

Agree names, roles and location labels with one client contact. A usable filename and an approved caption help your marketing team distinguish similar images when the library grows.

MANCHESTER / ON LOCATION

For Manchester, the quote should separate capture time from the journey and any agreed accommodation. Combining portraits and an event can reduce separate visits, but only when the timetable leaves enough time to do both properly.

Tell us whether the brief is within Manchester or includes other Greater Manchester addresses. Each stop, access window and overnight requirement affects the plan; the quote will name the actual locations rather than assume a single city-centre venue.

Within 25 driving miles of the quoted base, travel is £0.55 per round-trip mile. Beyond that, mileage is waived and estimated round-trip driving time is charged at £49 per hour. Parking, tolls and other necessary travel costs are agreed separately.

PLANNING YOUR SHOOT

The practical details.

Can you match photographs made by another photographer?

We can work towards an existing visual style after reviewing suitable reference files. Exact matching may be limited by the original lighting, room, equipment or editing. We will identify those differences before agreeing a new session.

Can our Manchester office be the first of several locations?

Yes. The first session can establish the framing and lighting reference for later bookings. Agree which roles and locations are likely to follow so the initial setup is practical to repeat.

Can you cover a conference and take everyone’s headshot?

Potentially, but the portrait sessions need their own time and space. If the important conference moments overlap with portraits, we will discuss separate coverage or a revised schedule rather than promise both at once.

Are the photographs on this page from Manchester?

No. The staff portraits are from our Hive Kids commission and the event photographs are from My Home Life in London. We show them as relevant examples of commissioned still photography from our wider portfolio.

What should we send for a multi-location quote?

Please send each address, the approximate number of people, the required image types, access hours and the dates when key colleagues are available. Existing website layouts and a few reference photographs are useful too.

Do you have a photographer based in Manchester?

The Camera Guys is based in Suffolk and travels for Manchester bookings. Travel and any necessary overnight stay are discussed in advance and included in the agreed quote.

YOUR MANCHESTER PHOTOGRAPHY BRIEF

Bring the branches into the same brief.

Send the Manchester address, the people you need photographed and a link to the images already in use. We will help turn them into a practical plan for this session and the next.
