02 / THE BRIEF
Show what a
building makes
possible.
The brief was not simply to document a village hall. It was to show why a place like this matters to the people around it.
The Prince’s Countryside Fund commissioned The Camera Guys to create a video about its support for small rural projects. At Barton Bendish Village Hall, the pop-up café offered a very tangible story: people coming together over lunch, tea, cake and conversation.
The charity is now The Royal Countryside Fund. We use its name at the time of the commission here and in the original films.
This is the kind of charity video production that starts with everyday life: making the link between an organisation’s work and a real community visible.
03 / THE CONTEXT
A rural hall.
A wider story.
The hall’s own improvement project history names The Prince’s Countryside Fund among the organisations that supported its refurbishment and extension. It was a collective funding effort, not a project financed by one charity alone.
The improved facilities include a refitted kitchen and a servery opening onto the main hall. In the films, the setting becomes part of the story: food being prepared, people being served and tables becoming meeting places.
Our Norfolk video production work takes us into very different organisations. Here, the interest is in what a modest local space enables, and the people who bring it to life.
04 / THE SUPPORTING FILMS
One community.
More than one view.
Alongside the main film, the collection includes five short edits. Watch each in full below, including two focused on the kitchen.
