PHOTOGRAPHY / BRENTWOOD

Brentwood PhotographerA team page that looks like one team.

Partners join, people change roles and the website ends up with five different kinds of headshot. We help Brentwood firms, schools and organisations photograph their people to one agreed standard, and cover the events where they come together.

PHOTOGRAPHS WITH A PURPOSE

One afternoon, everybody done properly.

A Brentwood accountancy, law or property practice rarely has everyone in the office at once. The usual result is a team page built from a phone photo, an old studio portrait and a cropped wedding picture. The fix is less about the camera and more about the plan: one setup, a schedule people can actually keep, and a reference frame that new starters can be matched to later.

We travel to Brentwood, Shenfield, Hutton and Ingatestone from our Suffolk and Essex bases. The photographs on this page come from our wider portfolio and are labelled with the client and place; none of them is presented as a Brentwood shoot.

ONE SETUP / EVERY COLLEAGUE

Set the standard once. Repeat it for every new starter.

These Hive Kids staff portraits share a setting, light and crop while still letting each person look like themselves. For a Brentwood office we would agree the background, height, crop and how much space your website template needs before the first person sits down.

We keep a note of the setup and a reference frame, so when someone joins next spring their photograph can sit beside the others without looking borrowed from another company.

Decide these before the session, not during it.

Headshots

Agree in advanceBackground, crop, camera height and how much room the website template needs above the head.

Decide on the dayExpression, glasses on or off and whether a jacket helps the person look like they do at work.

Office and workplace

Agree in advanceWhich rooms are presentable, what must not appear on screens or desks, and the image shapes the website uses.

Decide on the dayThe real moments: a client meeting, a lesson, a team conversation, photographed as they happen.

Events and evenings

Agree in advanceThe running order, the people who must be photographed and any sponsor or speaker shots.

Decide on the dayCandid moments between guests, which cannot be scheduled but can be planned for.

CLIENT EVENINGS / AWARDS / SEMINARS

When everyone is in the room, use it.

A seminar, client evening or school prize-giving is often the only time the whole team is together. Add a short headshot slot before guests arrive and you can refresh the team page and cover the event in one booking.

The My Home Life photographs here were taken at an event in London: a wide frame shows people together and a closer one keeps the detail of the day. They are examples of event coverage, not photographs from Brentwood.

A headshot day that keeps the office running.

  1. Before the day

Send the list of names and roles, the room we can use and the times each person is free. We set up in one place and bring people to the camera, not the other way round.

  2. On the day

Each person needs a few minutes, not half an hour. We look at the first frames with your contact so the standard is agreed before everyone else follows.

  3. After the day

You choose from a gallery, then we deliver finished files named with each person's name and in the crops your website and LinkedIn need.

BRENTWOOD / ON LOCATION

We quote the capture time, the number of people or set-ups and any agreed retouching. A headshot session is usually priced by the time needed for the number of people, plus any event coverage booked alongside it.

We cover Brentwood town centre, Shenfield, Hutton, Warley, Ingatestone and the surrounding villages. Tell us whether the shoot is at your office, a school or an event venue so we can plan space, light and parking.

Within 25 driving miles of the quoted base, travel is £0.55 per round-trip mile. Beyond that, mileage is waived and estimated round-trip driving time is charged at £49 per hour. Parking, tolls and other necessary travel costs are agreed separately.

PLANNING YOUR SHOOT

The practical details.

Can you photograph our whole team at our Brentwood office?

Yes. We bring lighting and a backdrop if needed, set up in one room and photograph people in turn, so the working day carries on around the session. Send the number of people and the room size when you enquire.

How long does each headshot take?

Usually a few minutes per person once the setup is agreed. Allow a little longer for people who are nervous in front of a camera; a relaxed few minutes gives a better result than a rushed one.

Can new starters be matched to the existing photos later?

Yes. We keep a note of the setup and a reference frame from the first session, so later portraits can be made to sit alongside the originals.

Are the photographs on this page from Brentwood?

No. The staff portraits are from our Hive Kids commission and the event photographs are from My Home Life in London. They are shown as examples of the same kinds of work.

Can you photograph a school or college?

Yes. We agree safeguarding, consent and which students may appear with the school beforehand, and the school approves the selection before anything is published.

Can you film the event as well?

Yes. We can send a photographer and a videographer to the same event, so you get stills and a short film from one booking.

YOUR BRENTWOOD PHOTOGRAPHY BRIEF

Send the team list. We will plan the session.

Tell us how many people need photographing, where your Brentwood office or venue is and where the photographs will be used. We will suggest a schedule and a quote.
