A technical subject needs a clear audience before it needs a camera. We help Cambridge organisations structure films around the question a viewer is trying to answer, combining expert interviews with demonstrations, working environments and useful visual detail.
For research, recruitment or corporate communications, we agree the vocabulary, factual review and intended versions early. The aim is to preserve what matters about the subject while giving people a reason to keep watching.
The examples below were filmed in Winchester, London and Essex. They demonstrate interview, event and education production; they are not claims of Cambridge university, laboratory or technology commissions.
WINCHESTER / REPRESENTATIVE CUSTOMER FILM
Let the customer explain the difference.
For Chrome Telecoms, an interview at Winchester Golf Academy puts the customer relationship at the centre of the film. Supporting location footage gives context to the speaker’s account. This example was filmed in Hampshire.
My Home Life England’s anniversary event combined conference recording, interviews, highlights and photography. Filmed in London, it demonstrates how one event can support both a fuller record and shorter communications.
The King Edmund School’s Sixth Form film brings students, subjects and facilities together. This Essex production is a representative education example, showing how interviews and everyday activity can make an institution easier to understand.
A Cambridge filming day might involve an office interview, a demonstration and a move to another site. We ask about room bookings, access windows, sensitive material and contributor availability before fixing the schedule.
For a specialist subject, nominate a factual reviewer and identify anything that must stay out of shot. We can work from an approved outline and plan the supporting pictures around what can genuinely be shown.
Tell us the audience, the purpose and where the finished material will be used. We turn that into a clear filming and editing brief.

USEFUL ANSWERS
Before your Cambridge shoot.
Practical details about planning, evidence, pricing and deliverables.
Do you provide video production in Cambridge?+
Yes. We travel to Cambridge from our Suffolk and Essex bases. Share the actual address, date and brief so we can confirm availability, travel and the production approach.
Can you help explain a technical subject on film?+
Yes. We start with the audience and an approved explanation, then develop interview questions and a shot plan. Your subject specialist checks factual wording; we shape the filming and edit so the explanation is clear and watchable.

SHOW MORE QUESTIONSSHOW FEWER QUESTIONS
Can one videographer handle the shoot?+
A single videographer can suit a focused interview or straightforward location brief. We recommend more crew when sound, lighting, the timetable or simultaneous coverage requires it.
Can we include photography and shorter video edits?+
Yes. We agree the still-image brief and final video formats before filming so there is time to capture the right material for each. Dedicated photographs are planned separately from frame grabs.
How do you handle location permissions?+
We agree access with the commissioning organisation and relevant site or venue contact. Public areas, contributors and aerial work may need additional checks. The plan reflects the actual permissions and working conditions.
How is travel included?+
Travel is scoped from the agreed operating base using our current pricing policy. The quote identifies the travel allowance and any parking, tolls or accommodation needed for the production.
How much does Cambridge video production cost?+
Filming starts at £249 for the first on-location hour per operator and £99 for each additional hour. Editing is £49 per hour. We quote the complete scope, including preparation, travel and any specialist requirements. No VAT is currently added to our prices.
