A customer story, a working process, an event or a campaign that needs to feel real.
We’re a video production company for Cambridgeshire, filming for businesses, research teams, charities and event organisers from Ely and Huntingdon to St Neots and the Fens. We travel across from our Suffolk and Essex bases and plan each day around the address, access, contributors and what the finished film has to do.
Our Cambridgeshire work so far is in the city: an interview with Opul Life’s CEO that became the voice of the company’s film. Each project below is labelled with where it was made.
A leadership interview filmed in Cambridge, a process film for a Suffolk business and a full day at a family attraction. Each one is labelled with where it was filmed.
CAMBRIDGE / OPUL LIFE
Put the person in charge. On camera.
Henry Dankwa, Opul Life’s CEO and director, explained who the company is and how it helps people, and his interview, filmed in Cambridge, carried the whole film. We added outreach footage from Chelmsford and Colchester and a set of matching photographs.
It is the same approach a Huntingdon firm or a South Cambridgeshire start-up can use for its own story.
We followed equipment from collection to secure processing over a full day, with aerial shots linking each stage. Fenland food, packing and haulage businesses can use the same structure to show customers and recruits what happens on site.
Six hours covered the maze, play areas, café and walks, with drone shots of the maze design, edited into a main film and a library of short clips. Attractions and venues around Ely can plan a visitor film the same way.
Choose the purpose first. We can shape the coverage, crew and final formats around your audience, locations and timetable.
01
Corporate & company films
Explain what your organisation does through clear interviews and footage of the people, places and processes behind it, from a Huntingdon office to a Fenland production line.
If you need a Cambridgeshire videographer, our team travels from our Suffolk and Essex bases. We cover Ely, Soham, Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots, Cambourne, Sawston, March, Wisbech, Chatteris and Whittlesey, with each schedule built around the people and activity at the actual location.
Labs, farms and production sites need inductions, safety gear and restricted areas agreed; events and venues need crowds, light and sound planned. We sort these before the filming day.
SUFFOLK & ESSEX BASED · FILMING ACROSS CAMBRIDGESHIRE
Ely, Soham & East Cambridgeshire
Independent businesses, schools, charities, venues and visitor attractions around the cathedral city and out towards Soham and Littleport. A small crew suits a busy high street, a riverside event or a guided tour, and we plan around crowds, light and sound.
Professional firms, manufacturers, logistics and engineering businesses across Huntingdonshire, from the market towns on the Great Ouse to the business parks along the A14 and the enterprise campus at Alconbury Weald.
Research campuses, technology companies and growing villages around the city, where films often need an expert interview, a careful explanation and an agreed list of what can be shown. For briefs in the city itself, see our Cambridge page.
Farming, food production, packing and haulage businesses across the Fens, where the story is often the process itself. Wide landscapes and big sites suit aerial shots where the airspace allows, planned as part of the same day. For Peterborough, Stamford and Whittlesey, see our Peterborough page.
Also covering Littleport, Ramsey, Godmanchester, Bottisham, Linton, Royston and surrounding villages. Share the address and preferred date so we can confirm travel and availability. South of Linton, just over the Essex border, see our Saffron Walden video production page; east of Linton, see our Haverhill video production page.
FROM FIRST IDEA TO FINAL FILE
A clear route. From the start.
01
Start with the purpose
Tell us who the film is for and what it needs to achieve. We turn the idea, event or business need into a focused brief with agreed versions.
02
Plan the location
We agree access, contributors, parking, filming time and anything that must stay out of shot. Labs, farms and production sites get inductions, safety gear and restricted areas agreed first.
03
Capture the right material
We guide interviews and film the activity, details and wider setting around them, whether that is a city-centre meeting room, a Fenland packhouse or a marquee on event day.
04
Shape and deliver
Editing brings the footage together with agreed sound, colour and graphics. Two rounds of feedback lead to the final versions for your website, social channels and presentations.
CLEAR RATES. A PROPER SCOPE.
Know the scope. Know the cost.
Build the production around what you actually need.
A single interview and a production across several locations call for different plans. A good Cambridgeshire video production company should explain the filming, crew, editing, travel and specialist requirements before you book.
These are our current production rates. We explain how they apply to your brief, including the final versions and review stages included.
Do you provide video production across Cambridgeshire?+
Yes. We travel from our bases in Sudbury, Suffolk and Colchester, Essex, and cover Cambridge, Ely, Soham, Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots, Cambourne, Sawston, March, Wisbech, Chatteris, Whittlesey and the villages in between. Share the exact address and preferred date so we can confirm travel and availability.
Have you filmed in Cambridgeshire before?+
Yes. We filmed Opul Life's interview with CEO and director Henry Dankwa in Cambridge, which became the voice of the company's film. We have not yet published a project filmed in Ely, Huntingdon or the Fens, and each project on this page is labelled with where it was filmed.
Is this different from your Cambridge page?+
Our Cambridge page focuses on research, technology and education briefs in the city. This page covers the rest of the county, from Ely and Huntingdonshire to South Cambridgeshire and the Fens, where many projects are company films, events and process videos.
How much does video production in Cambridgeshire cost?+
Our current filming rates start at £249 for the first on-location hour per operator and £99 for each additional hour per operator. Editing is £49 per hour. We quote the complete project around crew time, filming, editing, travel and any specialist requirements, and no VAT is currently added to our prices.

How is travel to Cambridgeshire charged?+
Travel is calculated from our Sudbury base (CO10 0JA) using driving routes. Most of Cambridgeshire is more than 25 driving miles away, so mileage is waived and the estimated round-trip driving time is charged at £49 per hour, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. Parking and other location costs are agreed separately.
Can you film in a lab, farm or production site?+
Yes. We follow your induction and safety rules, wear the protective equipment you require and agree any confidential or restricted areas before the day. For a technical subject, nominate someone to check facts, and you approve the edit before anything is published.
Can you film a conference or seminar and stream it?+
Yes. We can record a conference, AGM or seminar with several cameras and stream it to an online audience at the same time. Livestreaming starts at £349 for the first on-location hour, then £99 per hour, and we confirm the venue's internet connection and audio feed before the day.
Can drone filming be included?+
Often, subject to the exact location and the airspace. Parts of Cambridgeshire sit near airfields and other restricted airspace, so we check restrictions and any permissions needed before confirming aerial shots. Drone filming added to a production starts at £199 for the first allocated hour, then £49 per hour.
Can one videographer handle a small shoot?+
Often, yes. One videographer can run up to three cameras for interviews and smaller events. For a larger conference or an event with several things happening at once, we recommend a second operator, which starts at £249 for the first hour and £99 per hour after.
Can photography be booked alongside the video?+
Yes. We can send a photographer and a videographer to the same event or shoot, so you get stills and films from one booking. For Opul Life we delivered a matching set of corporate photographs alongside the film. Photography uses the same hourly rates as filming.
