THE BRIEF

A LOT TO COMMUNICATE. ONE FOCUSED FILM.

Ahead of its upcoming enrolment activity, KES needed one concise college promotional video that could give prospective students and their families a genuine sense of the Sixth Form.

The film had to show the range of subjects available, the teaching and learning environment, the facilities and what day-to-day life at the college feels like — while giving viewers clear reasons to consider KES.

Crucially, the client did not want a conventional school promotional video. The aim was a visually strong, cinematic piece with the polish and pace to present the college professionally.

OUR APPROACH

BUILDING VARIETY INTO ONE PRODUCTION DAY

We provided a full day of education videography and planned the coverage around capturing as much useful variety as possible within the available production time.

Moving through different areas of the college, we filmed a broad mix of subjects, facilities, learning environments and authentic activity. This gave the edit enough range to feel energetic without turning into an overwhelming checklist.

We combined considered compositions and camera movement with wider establishing imagery and close detail shots, giving each area its own visual interest while keeping the overall film consistent.

THE EDIT

A FAST, FOCUSED TURNAROUND

Timing mattered because the film was needed ahead of the college's upcoming enrolment activity. Post-production therefore began with a clear priority: turn a wide range of material into a focused promotional film without losing the character of the college.

The edit moves efficiently between subjects, facilities and student activity, balancing pace with enough space for each part of the Sixth Form experience to register. The result is concise and cohesive rather than a rapid sequence of disconnected scenes.
