THE BRIEF

TURN JAKE'S CONCEPT INTO A COMPLETE PRODUCTION.

Norfolk singer Jake Aldridge came to us with a planned brief for Partners in Crime. He had shaped the idea, secured Cecilia's Cocktail Bar in Norwich and supplied location photographs and a phone walkthrough before filming.

Our role was to translate that artist-led plan into pictures: providing the videographer, lighting design, smoke and fog effects, and the practical production work needed to move between an intimate bar story and a larger exterior performance.

CECILIA'S, NORWICH

GIVING A WORKING BAR ITS OWN SCREEN LANGUAGE.

We filmed the interior during a controlled daytime window, using lighting rather than the clock to create the video's after-dark mood. Pink and blue tones separated the performers from the room while keeping Cecilia's distinctive mirrors, bar and cocktail details recognisable.

The coverage moved between performance and story fragments: drinks being made, cards and dice on the table, and the developing connection between the two lead performers. Those close details gave the edit visual punctuation without pulling focus away from the song.

It is the kind of practical transformation at the heart of our music video production: working with the character of a real location, then adding enough control to make it belong to the artist.

THE NIGHT EXTERIOR

CLASSIC CARS, LOW FOG AND A CHANGE OF SCALE.

After Cecilia's, the production moved outside for a performance staged between a Dodge Charger and a Chevrolet Camaro. The cars widened the visual world of the track and gave the second half of the video a bold, graphic backdrop.

High wind made ordinary fog disappear too quickly. We cooled the output through a chamber packed with ice, creating denser low-lying fog that held around the cars long enough to film. It was a simple practical solution to a real location problem.

A prepared brief gave the day direction; responsive professional videography made sure the planned idea still worked when conditions changed.
