YOUR PEOPLE. YOUR PLACE. YOUR PURPOSE.

Stories worth seeing.
Made with care.

A customer story, a working process, an event or a campaign that needs to feel real.

We’re a Southend video production company for organisations that want a useful film rather than content for its own sake. Our team travels down from our Suffolk and Essex bases, planning the day around the address, access, contributors and purpose of the finished video.

We already work in south Essex: we filmed The King Edmund School’s Sixth Form promotional film in Rochford and Maxy Boy’s live performance at Show Me Love in Basildon. The other project below was filmed in Witham, and each one is labelled with where it was made.

REAL CLIENT WORK

Different briefs.
One considered process.

A school film from Rochford, a live performance in Basildon and a showroom launch in Witham. Each one is labelled with where it was filmed.

ROCHFORD, ESSEX / THE KING EDMUND SCHOOL

A sixth form,
shown as it really is.

The King Edmund School asked us for a promotional film for its Sixth Form. Over a full day of filming at the school in Rochford we captured lessons, facilities and students in their own words, then edited a short film for open evenings, the school website and social channels.

It is a good model for a Southend school, college or academy trust that wants prospective students and parents to see the real place.

BASILDON, ESSEX / MAXY BOY

From arrival to encore.

One videographer followed Maxy Boy at Show Me Love in Basildon, from arrival and backstage moments to the live set, then cut a vlog-style film and shorter clips for social media. It suits Southend venues, promoters and artists who want more than a phone recording.

Kesseler Kitchens showroom launch filmed in Witham, Essex

WITHAM, ESSEX / KESSELER KITCHENS

A showroom’s first impression.

Two videographers covered Kesseler’s showroom opening in Witham: ribbon cutting, guest speakers, demonstrations and the atmosphere inside the new space. It is a useful model for a Southend business opening new premises or launching a product.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SHOW?

YOUR LOCATION. OUR PRODUCTION TEAM.

South Essex locations.
A practical plan.

If you need a Southend videographer, our team travels from our Suffolk and Essex bases. We cover Southend-on-Sea, Leigh-on-Sea, Westcliff, Shoeburyness, Rochford, Rayleigh, Basildon and the rest of south Essex, with each schedule built around the people and activity at the actual location.

Seafront and outdoor filming needs a weather and crowd plan; offices, schools and venues need access and sound agreed. We sort these before the filming day.

Leigh-on-Sea, Chalkwell & Hadleigh

Independent businesses, studios, cafés and creative venues often need a short, honest film for their website and social channels. We keep the crew small and the day planned around opening hours.

FROM FIRST IDEA TO FINAL FILE

A clear route.
From the start.

01

Start with the purpose

Tell us who the film is for and what it needs to achieve. We turn the idea, event or business need into a focused brief.

02

Plan the location

We agree access, contributors, parking, filming time and final versions. Seafront, outdoor and multi-site work gets a practical route and a weather plan.

03

Capture the right material

We guide interviews and film the activity, details and wider setting that support them. The crew and schedule fit the working environment.

04

Shape and deliver

Editing brings the footage together with agreed sound, colour and graphics. Feedback stages lead to the final versions for your chosen channels.

CLEAR RATES. A PROPER SCOPE.

Know the scope.
Know the cost.

Build the production around what you actually need.

A single interview and a production across several locations call for different plans. A good Southend video production company should explain the filming, crew, editing, travel and specialist requirements before you book.

These are our current production rates. We explain how they apply to your brief, including the final versions and review stages included.

USEFUL ANSWERS

Planning your
Southend shoot.

Practical answers about locations, crew, travel and what a clear production scope should include.

Tell us what you have in mind ↗
Do you provide video production in Southend-on-Sea?

Yes. We travel to Southend-on-Sea and south Essex from our bases in Sudbury, Suffolk and Colchester, Essex, and cover Southend, Leigh-on-Sea, Westcliff, Shoeburyness, Rochford, Rayleigh, Hockley, Benfleet, Canvey Island, Basildon and the towns around them. Share the exact address and preferred date so we can confirm travel and availability.

Have you filmed near Southend before?

Yes. We filmed The King Edmund School’s Sixth Form promotional film in Rochford and Maxy Boy’s live performance at Show Me Love in Basildon, and our film library for Jellyshotz included the brand’s nightclub debut in Basildon. The Kesseler Kitchens launch on this page was filmed in Witham, Essex, and is labelled with that location.

How much does video production in Southend cost?

Our current filming rates start at £249 for the first on-location hour per operator and £99 for each additional hour per operator. Editing is £49 per hour. We quote the complete project around crew time, filming, editing, travel and any specialist requirements, and no VAT is currently added to our prices.

How is travel to Southend charged?

Travel is calculated from our Sudbury base (CO10 0JA). Southend is more than 25 driving miles away, so mileage is waived and the estimated round-trip driving time is charged at £49 per hour, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. Parking and any tolls are separate where required.

SHOW MORE QUESTIONSSHOW FEWER QUESTIONS
Can you make a promotional film for a Southend school or college?

Yes. Our Sixth Form film for The King Edmund School in Rochford is an example: a full day of filming lessons, facilities and students, edited into a short promotional film. We agree safeguarding, consent and timings with the school before the day.

Can you film a gig, club night or show in Southend?

Yes. A single videographer can follow an artist from arrival to encore, as we did for Maxy Boy in Basildon, or we can bring extra crew for multi-camera coverage of a larger show. We confirm access, lighting and sound with the venue in advance.

Can you film and live stream a conference in Southend?

Yes. We can record a conference, AGM or launch with several cameras and stream it to an online audience at the same time. Live streaming starts at £349 for the first hour, and we confirm the venue’s internet connection and audio feed before the day.

Can drone filming be included in Southend?

Sometimes. Much of Southend, Rochford and Leigh-on-Sea sits close to London Southend Airport, whose flight restriction zone limits where drones can fly without permission. We check the exact location and request any permissions needed before confirming aerial shots. Drone filming added to a production starts at £199 for the first hour.

Can photography be booked alongside the video?

Yes. We can send a photographer and a videographer to the same event or shoot, so you get stills and films from one booking. Photography uses the same hourly rates as filming.

Can one Southend videographer handle a small shoot?

Yes. A single videographer can be a good fit for a focused interview, testimonial or straightforward location brief. We recommend extra crew when the timetable, sound, lighting or simultaneous coverage would benefit from it.
