A FILM WITH A PURPOSE

Start with curiosity, not a conclusion.

A documentary approach allows people, places and events to shape the film. We work with you to identify the central question, gain access and plan enough time to listen. The final structure grows from the material, supported by a clear editorial purpose.

Our interview production and charity filmmaking are useful starting points for human stories. Longer, archive-heavy or multi-location projects need a production plan specific to their scope.

BUILT AROUND YOUR BRIEF

From the first idea to the finished film.

Find the story

We discuss the people, change or question at the heart of the project. Research and contributor conversations help identify what can be shown on camera and what requires explanation or archive material.

Film with the people involved

Access, contributor comfort and permissions shape the schedule. An observational scene may need time to unfold; an interview needs a setting where someone can speak without being rushed or overheard.

Build an honest edit

We organise interviews and sequences into a coherent story, checking names, dates and supplied claims. Music, archive rights, captions and factual review are agreed as part of the production.

THE WORK IN CONTEXT

Opul Life

Opul Life project

Opul Life combines real community outreach in Chelmsford and Colchester with a CEO interview. It demonstrates an observational corporate approach, not a broadcast documentary credit.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Your questions,
answered.

Practical details about documentary production.

Do you produce feature-length documentaries?

Discuss the intended duration, access, budget and distribution with us. Long-form work requires a bespoke assessment of research, filming days, archive and post-production before we confirm the scope.

Can you use archive photographs or video?

Yes, where suitable files and usage permissions are available. Tell us who owns the material and where the finished film will be shown so rights and technical quality can be checked.

Can a documentary be made for a business?

Yes. A business documentary can explore people, heritage or a project in depth. We agree how editorial decisions and factual review will work so the film feels grounded in real experience.

Where do you provide this service?

We are Suffolk-based and work across Essex, London and the UK. Share the location and access requirements when you enquire. Our Suffolk production, Essex video production and London filming pages explain our coverage.

How is the project priced?

The quote reflects preparation, crew, filming time, editing and the agreed deliverables. Travel and any specialist requirements are considered separately. See our current production rates and videographer cost guide, then send a brief for a scoped quote.

When will the finished work be delivered?

We agree a delivery schedule and review stages before production. Tell us about a fixed launch or event deadline at the start so we can allow for editing, feedback and the required versions.
