WHY IT MATTERS
Some photographs only exist once.
A wedding print from the sixties, a company’s first premises, a portrait of a grandparent: the original is often the only copy. We scan at archive resolution first, so whatever happens next, the image is safe.
Restoration is done by hand at the pixel level. We will tell you honestly what can be recovered and show you a proof before the final file.

Prints, slides and negatives scanned at high resolution; originals handled with gloves and returned unchanged.

Tears, creases, dust and scratches repaired; missing areas rebuilt where there is enough information.

Faded tone and colour brought back, with the option of a natural colourisation for black-and-white images.

A master TIFF for safekeeping, print-ready files at the size you need, and a web version to share.

Light restoration of a small print is usually under an hour; heavy damage or colourisation takes longer. No VAT is currently added to our prices.

Can you work from a photo of the photo?
For a quote, yes. For the restoration itself we prefer the original or a high-resolution scan.
Do you colourise black-and-white photographs?
Yes, where you want it. We research period-accurate colours and keep the result subtle.
Can you restore negatives and slides?
Yes. They often hold more detail than the print made from them.
Will I get the original back?
Always. Originals are handled carefully, never cut or cleaned with chemicals, and returned with the files.
Where do you provide this service?
We are Suffolk-based and work across Essex, London and the UK. Post-production is handled at our studio, so you can send material from anywhere in the country.
How quickly can you turn it round?
It depends on the length and the number of versions. Tell us about any launch or event date when you enquire and we will plan the schedule around it.
