PHOTOGRAPHS WITH A PURPOSE
A company occasion belongs to the people in it.
When work makes room for a celebration, the photographs should feel like that celebration. An employee laughing with a colleague can say more about the afternoon than another line of people facing the camera. We photograph staff gatherings in Hampshire with a balance of natural coverage and the few arranged pictures your team actually needs.
Start by deciding who the pictures are for. A private staff gallery, an internal newsletter and a recruitment campaign call for different choices. That decision helps us agree who should be included, when to step in and when to let a conversation continue.

Platinum Cleaning commissioned us to photograph and film its staff BBQ in Ipswich. The brief centred on the atmosphere, the team and the afternoon together. These are genuine still photographs from that booking, shown here as an example of our approach rather than as a Hampshire event.
For your own staff gathering, we would ask which moments have meaning to the team. It may be the first time two branches meet, a long-service thank-you or simply a rare chance to bring everyone into one picture. Those details make a more useful brief than asking for generic pictures of company culture.

THE ARRANGED PICTURE
Give the group photograph a place in the day.
A group picture needs cooperation, not a surprise interruption. Pick a time when the required people will actually be present, tell someone who can gather them, and agree a suitable space with the venue. If guests arrive in shifts, several smaller groups may be more truthful than a photograph that misses half the company.
Three decisions before anyone picks up a camera.
What should stay private?
Explain any photography preferences before the event and provide an organiser who can discreetly identify them. A guest should not have to repeat the same request to every supplier.
Where will the pictures go?
Choose the intended internal and external channels. A photograph suitable for colleagues to share privately is not automatically the right choice for a public recruitment advert.
Make the selection with the team in mind.
A recognisable story of the day usually needs a mix: the setting, small groups, individual expressions and the moments people will talk about afterwards. We help shape that selection without making every image look like a formal corporate portrait.
Before distributing the gallery, your organiser should check names, guest preferences and any images involving family members. If the business wants an additional public-facing selection, identify that in the brief so its scope and finishing can be quoted.

Coverage is quoted for the agreed attendance window, with any arranged groups and priority moments included in the plan. Multiple simultaneous activities or separate sites may need additional photography time or another photographer.
We travel to Hampshire from Great Cornard, Suffolk. For a booking in Southampton, Winchester, Portsmouth or elsewhere in the county, send the actual venue address and event timings. Travel is calculated for that journey; we do not advertise a Hampshire studio or use one town's journey as a county-wide allowance.
Within 25 driving miles of the quoted base, travel is £0.55 per round-trip mile. Beyond that, mileage is waived and estimated round-trip driving time is charged at £49 per hour. Parking, tolls and other necessary travel costs are agreed separately.

The practical details.
Can you photograph a staff event without turning it into a photoshoot?
Yes. We agree the few arranged pictures in advance and cover the rest as it happens. Tell us when a conversation, meal or activity should be left uninterrupted so we can work around the event.
Can everyone have an individual portrait at the same event?
That needs a separate allowance in the schedule. Give us the number of people and the desired portrait style, and we can quote a short portrait station or a dedicated session alongside the event coverage.
What if some employees do not want to be photographed?
Have the organiser communicate the plan and collect preferences before the day. Agree a discreet way for us to recognise anyone who should not appear, and have the company review the selected images before wider use.
Can we use the photographs for recruitment as well as internal updates?
Explain both uses when requesting the quote. We can plan an appropriate selection, but the company still needs to settle the arrangements with the people featured. Do not assume a private staff gallery is cleared for every public use.
Were the photographs shown here taken in Hampshire?
No. The displayed images are from our commissioned Platinum Cleaning staff-party coverage in Ipswich. They demonstrate our event photography and are labelled with their actual location.
What happens if an outdoor company day moves indoors?
Tell us about the fallback space before booking. Its size, lighting and access affect the photography plan. If the venue or coverage hours change, we will review the brief with you rather than assume the original arrangements still fit.
