THE BRIEF
LET THE PEOPLE BUILDING THE PROJECT EXPLAIN ITS NEXT PHASE.
By the Tillingdown shoot, Root-Power had become a regular client. The brief was to record two direct-to-camera pieces with Project Engineer Enock Semakula and Head of Development Sarah Lightfoot, giving internal and public audiences a clear view of the site's development phases, plans and longer-term vision.
The finished films needed professional structure without losing the authority of the people closest to the work. A teleprompter helped both contributors deliver an agreed script naturally while keeping technical detail consistent across the takes.

ONE FULL FILMING DAY
TWO PROJECTS, ONE CALL-OUT.
The Tillingdown filming took approximately two hours from setup to pack-down. The same videographer then travelled to South Essex Wildlife Hospital for a separate Root-Power project filmed later that day.
Booking the two locations within one full filming day avoided separate call-out fees and made better use of the client's production budget. The saving came from planning compatible briefs together—not from rushing either location.
That approach can make corporate video production more efficient when teams need regular updates from several sites.
SHOWING THE SITE
CONNECTING DEVELOPMENT DETAIL TO PLACE.
Root-Power's Tillingdown Farm BESS project is in Caterham, Surrey. The location material needed to do more than decorate the interviews: it had to show where the project sits, its relationship to surrounding infrastructure and the scale of the landscape being discussed.
Wide aerial views established that context, while closer images of the site, grid infrastructure and team activity gave the editors useful points of reference around the scripted explanations.
Root-Power plans to return to the project story when the site is complete. Filming distinct stages creates a more credible long-term record than trying to reconstruct the full development journey afterwards.
