A customer story, a working process, an event or a campaign that needs to feel real.
We’re a Clacton video production company for organisations that want a useful film rather than content for its own sake. Our team travels from our Suffolk and Essex bases, and our Colchester base is around half an hour from the Tendring coast, so we plan the day around the address, access, contributors and purpose of the finished video.
We have already filmed in Tendring: a full-day landscape and environment workshop at Beth Chatto Gardens in Elmstead Market. The other projects below were filmed in Colchester, and each one is labelled with where it was made.
A workshop at Beth Chatto Gardens, a theatre show at the Mercury in Colchester and community outreach days in Colchester. Each one is labelled with where it was filmed.
ELMSTEAD MARKET, TENDRING / BETH CHATTO GARDENS
One workshop. Several ways into the story.
Davies White Landscape Architects asked us to film a landscape and environment workshop at Beth Chatto Gardens. One videographer covered six hours of presentations, group work and a visit to Chattowood, and we edited speaker films, a highlights film, a 30-second teaser and ten participant interviews.
It is a good model for a Tendring venue, charity or organisation running talks or training days.
For The Wizard of Oz at the Mercury Theatre, three continuous cameras recorded the full performance while our photographer worked quietly without flash. The result was a complete multicamera film, a social teaser and a photo library. It suits Clacton’s theatres, schools and performing groups.
We filmed Opul Life’s church outreach days in Colchester and Chelmsford, then combined them with a CEO interview into a corporate film with supporting photography. A useful model for a Tendring charity, care provider or community organisation.
If you need a Clacton videographer, our team travels from our Suffolk and Essex bases. We cover Clacton-on-Sea, Frinton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze, Harwich, Dovercourt, Manningtree, Brightlingsea and the rest of Tendring, with each schedule built around the people and activity at the actual location.
Seafront and beach filming needs a weather, tide and crowd plan; offices, venues and working sites need access and sound agreed. We sort these before the filming day.
From town-centre shops and offices to the pier, seafront and theatres, we plan interviews and location filming around access, opening hours, crowds and the audience the film is for.
Independent shops, cafés, guest houses and attractions along the coast often need a short, honest film for their website and social channels. We keep the crew small and work around trading hours and the weather.
Port, logistics and maritime businesses, plus the towns around the Stour estuary. Working sites need induction, safety and permission sorted in advance, and we build that into the plan.
We filmed a full-day landscape and environment workshop at Beth Chatto Gardens in Elmstead Market. Venues, gardens, boatyards and rural businesses across west Tendring get the same practical planning.
Also covering Holland-on-Sea, Jaywick, St Osyth, Thorpe-le-Soken, Great Bentley, Mistley, Lawford, Little Clacton, Weeley and surrounding villages. FROM FIRST IDEA TO FINAL FILE
A clear route. From the start.
01
Start with the purpose
Tell us who the film is for and what it needs to achieve. We turn the idea, event or business need into a focused brief.
02
Plan the location
We agree access, contributors, parking, filming time and final versions. Seafront, beach and outdoor work gets a weather and tide plan as well as a backup.
03
Capture the right material
We guide interviews and film the activity, details and wider setting that support them. The crew and schedule fit the working environment.
04
Shape and deliver
Editing brings the footage together with agreed sound, colour and graphics. Feedback stages lead to the final versions for your chosen channels.
CLEAR RATES. A PROPER SCOPE.
Know the scope. Know the cost.
Build the production around what you actually need.
A single interview and a production across several locations call for different plans. A good Clacton video production company should explain the filming, crew, editing, travel and specialist requirements before you book.
These are our current production rates. We explain how they apply to your brief, including the final versions and review stages included.

We filmed a full-day landscape and environment workshop for Davies White Landscape Architects at Beth Chatto Gardens in Elmstead Market, producing speaker films, a highlights film, a teaser and ten participant interviews. The theatre film on this page was made at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester and the outreach film in Colchester and Chelmsford, and each is labelled with where it was filmed.

Our current filming rates start at £249 for the first on-location hour per operator and £99 for each additional hour per operator. Editing is £49 per hour. We quote the complete project around crew time, filming, editing, travel and any specialist requirements, and no VAT is currently added to our prices.
How is travel to Clacton charged?+

SHOW MORE QUESTIONSSHOW FEWER QUESTIONS
Can you film a workshop, talk or conference in Tendring?+
Yes. At Beth Chatto Gardens one videographer covered six hours of presentations, group work and a site visit, then we edited multi-camera speaker films, a promotional highlights film, a 30-second teaser and participant interview clips. We can scale the crew up for a larger conference.
Can you film a show at a Clacton theatre?+
Yes. For The Wizard of Oz at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester we ran three continuous cameras, recorded a line feed from the sound desk and photographed both performances without flash. We agree camera positions, audio and audience notices with the venue and producer before the show.
Can you film on the seafront, beach or pier?+
Yes. Outdoor coastal filming needs a plan for wind, light, tides and crowds, and some locations need permission from the landowner or operator. We check this when we plan the shoot and keep a backup option for the weather.
Can you film and live stream an event in Clacton?+
Yes. We can record a conference, AGM or launch with several cameras and stream it to an online audience at the same time. Livestreaming starts at £349 for the first on-location hour, then £99 per hour, and we confirm the venue's internet connection and audio feed before the day.
Can drone filming be included?+
Often, subject to the exact location. We check current airspace restrictions, including around Clacton Airfield, the Port of Harwich and coastal sites, and ask for any permissions needed before confirming aerial shots. Drone filming added to a production starts at £199 for the first allocated hour.
Can photography be booked alongside the video?+
Yes. We can send a photographer and a videographer to the same event or shoot, as we did at the Mercury Theatre, so you get stills and films from one booking. Photography uses the same hourly rates as filming.
