A customer story, a working process, an event or a campaign that needs to feel real.
We’re a Maldon video production company for organisations that want a useful film rather than content for its own sake. Our team travels from our Suffolk and Essex bases, and our Colchester base is around half an hour from Maldon, so we plan the day around the address, access, contributors and purpose of the finished video.
We already work in mid Essex: we filmed Kesseler’s showroom opening in Witham, about six miles away, and community outreach days in Chelmsford. The other project below was filmed in Colchester, and each one is labelled with where it was made.
A showroom launch in Witham, outreach days in Chelmsford and Colchester, and a theatre show at the Mercury in Colchester. Each one is labelled with where it was filmed.
WITHAM, ESSEX / KESSELER KITCHENS
One opening. Many moments that could not be repeated.
Two videographers covered Kesseler’s showroom opening on Newland Street in Witham: the mayoral ribbon cutting, guest speakers and live kitchen demonstrations, with drone shots placing the showroom in the town centre. We edited it into one concise launch film.
It is a good model for a Maldon business opening a shop, office or venue.
For The Wizard of Oz at the Mercury Theatre, three continuous cameras recorded the full performance while our photographer worked quietly without flash. The result was a complete multicamera film, a social teaser and a photo library. It suits Maldon’s theatre groups, schools and performers.
We filmed Opul Life’s church outreach days in Colchester and Chelmsford, then combined them with a CEO interview into a corporate film with supporting photography. A useful model for a Maldon charity, care provider or community organisation.
If you need a Maldon videographer, our team travels from our Suffolk and Essex bases. We cover Maldon, Heybridge, Burnham-on-Crouch, Southminster, Tollesbury, Wickham Bishops and the rest of the district, with each schedule built around the people and activity at the actual location.
Quayside, marina and estuary filming needs a tide, weather and light plan; offices, venues and working sites need access and sound agreed. We sort these before the filming day.
SUFFOLK & ESSEX BASED · FILMING ACROSS MALDON DISTRICT
Maldon town & the High Street
Independent shops, offices, the town hall, heritage venues and businesses around the High Street. We plan interviews and location filming around opening hours, parking and the audience the film is for.
Quaysides, the Blackwater, sailing barges, cafés and waterside venues. Tides change the scene by the hour, so we plan the shoot times around them and keep a backup for the weather.
Marinas, yacht clubs, boatyards and businesses across Burnham-on-Crouch, Southminster, Mayland and Bradwell-on-Sea. Working waterside sites need permission and safety agreed in advance, and we build that into the plan.
Rural businesses, venues and community groups in Tollesbury, Goldhanger, Great Totham and Wickham Bishops. Witham, where we filmed Kesseler's showroom launch, is about six miles from Maldon.
Also covering Heybridge Basin, Mayland, Bradwell-on-Sea, Latchingdon, Purleigh, Goldhanger, Great Totham, Tolleshunt D’Arcy and surrounding villages. FROM FIRST IDEA TO FINAL FILE
A clear route. From the start.
01
Start with the purpose
Tell us who the film is for and what it needs to achieve. We turn the idea, event or business need into a focused brief.
02
Plan the location
We agree access, contributors, parking, filming time and final versions. Quayside, marina and estuary filming gets a tide, light and weather plan as well as a backup.
03
Capture the right material
We guide interviews and film the activity, details and wider setting that support them. The crew and schedule fit the working environment.
04
Shape and deliver
Editing brings the footage together with agreed sound, colour and graphics. Feedback stages lead to the final versions for your chosen channels.
CLEAR RATES. A PROPER SCOPE.
Know the scope. Know the cost.
Build the production around what you actually need.
A single interview and a production across several locations call for different plans. A good Maldon video production company should explain the filming, crew, editing, travel and specialist requirements before you book.
These are our current production rates. We explain how they apply to your brief, including the final versions and review stages included.

Have you filmed near Maldon before?+
Yes, nearby. We filmed Kesseler's showroom opening in Witham, about six miles from Maldon, and community outreach days in Chelmsford for Opul Life. The theatre film on this page was made at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester. We have not yet filmed in Maldon itself, and each project is labelled with where it was filmed.
How much does video production in Maldon cost?+
Our current filming rates start at £249 for the first on-location hour per operator and £99 for each additional hour per operator. Editing is £49 per hour. We quote the complete project around crew time, filming, editing, travel and any specialist requirements, and no VAT is currently added to our prices.
How is travel to Maldon charged?+
Travel is calculated from our Sudbury base (CO10 0JA) using driving routes. Maldon and most of the district are more than 25 driving miles away, so mileage is waived and the estimated round-trip driving time is charged at £49 per hour, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. Parking and any other location costs are agreed separately.
SHOW MORE QUESTIONSSHOW FEWER QUESTIONS
Can you film a launch or opening in Maldon?+
Yes. For Kesseler's showroom opening in Witham two videographers covered the mayoral ribbon cutting, guest speakers and live kitchen demonstrations, with drone shots of the town centre, and we edited a concise launch film. The same approach suits a new shop, office or venue in Maldon.
Can you film on the quay, a marina or the water?+
Yes. Quayside and estuary filming needs a plan for tides, wind, light and other users, and some locations need permission from the harbour authority, club or landowner. We check this when we plan the shoot and keep a backup option for the weather.
Can you film a charity or community project in the Maldon district?+
Yes. For Opul Life we filmed outreach days in Chelmsford and Colchester and an interview with the CEO, then edited a film showing the people and activity behind the work. We plan around participants' consent and keep the crew small so the day runs normally.
Can you film and live stream an event in Maldon?+
Yes. We can record a conference, AGM or launch with several cameras and stream it to an online audience at the same time. Livestreaming starts at £349 for the first on-location hour, then £99 per hour, and we confirm the venue's internet connection and audio feed before the day.
Can drone filming be included?+
Often, subject to the exact location. We check current airspace and any restrictions over the Blackwater and Dengie coast, including nature reserves, before confirming aerial shots and ask for any permissions needed. Drone filming added to a production starts at £199 for the first allocated hour.
Can photography be booked alongside the video?+
Yes. We can send a photographer and a videographer to the same event or shoot, so you get stills and films from one booking. Photography uses the same hourly rates as filming.
