A customer story, a working process, an event or a campaign that needs to feel real.
We’re a video production company for Watford and south-west Hertfordshire, filming for offices, business parks, attractions, artists and community organisations from the town centre to Rickmansworth, Bushey and the Langleys. We travel across from our Suffolk and Essex bases and plan each day around the building, the people and what the finished film has to do.
We haven’t published a project filmed in Watford yet. Our nearest work is in St Albans, about seven miles away, and every project below is labelled with where it was filmed.
Scripted project updates filmed in Surrey, a multicamera music video made in a London studio and a visitor-attraction film from Berkshire. Each one is labelled with where it was filmed.
CATERHAM, SURREY / ROOT-POWER
Two experts. One script each. Two hours on site.
Root-Power wanted the people developing its Tillingdown battery-storage site to explain the next phase themselves. We filmed two scripted pieces with a teleprompter and added ground and aerial views of the site, finishing in about two hours from setup to pack-down.
The same videographer then filmed a second Root-Power project later that day, so one full filming day covered both briefs.
For RIDI’s cover of Creep we ran a locked wide, a locked medium and a roaming handheld camera in a London studio, so every performance gave the edit several usable angles.
Wasing needed promotional content for its pumpkin patch and woodland trail. We followed the route a visitor takes, from wheelbarrow to field, and caught real family moments without interrupting them.
Choose the purpose first. We can shape the coverage, crew and final formats around your audience, locations and timetable.

Corporate & company films
Introduce your business through interviews and footage of your people and premises, from a Clarendon Road office to a unit on one of Watford's business parks.
Record leaders, engineers or project teams speaking to camera, with a teleprompter available so detailed scripts are delivered clearly and consistently.
Cover a launch, open day, seasonal event or visitor attraction with a promotional film and short social edits, and add a photographer for matching stills.
If you need a Watford videographer, our team travels from our Suffolk and Essex bases. We cover Watford town centre, Bushey, Rickmansworth, Croxley Green, Chorleywood, Abbots Langley and Kings Langley, with each schedule built around the people and activity at the actual location.
Office receptions, shared business parks and busy streets need access, parking and timings planned; events need fixed moments and sound agreed. We sort these before the filming day.
Offices, professional firms, retailers, venues and charities around the town centre. A compact crew suits a working office or a busy street, and we plan around footfall, lifts and building access.
Technology, logistics, engineering and service businesses on the business parks around Watford, Croxley and Leavesden, where a film often needs to show people, process and premises together.
Towns and villages in Three Rivers, from independent businesses and schools to community organisations and outdoor events beside the canal and the lakes.
Smaller towns and villages around Watford with family businesses, clubs and venues. For St Albans, Hemel Hempstead and the rest of the county, see our Hertfordshire page.
Tell us who will watch it and what you want them to do next. We turn that into a short brief, with lengths and versions agreed before filming.
02
Plan around the building
Office receptions, shared business parks and busy town-centre streets all need planning. We agree access, parking, contributors and anything that must stay out of shot.
03
Film efficiently on the day
We guide interviews, film the work and the setting, and keep the crew compact so meetings, shifts and visitors carry on around us.
04
Edit, review and deliver
Editing brings the footage together with agreed sound, colour and graphics. Two rounds of feedback lead to final versions for every channel you need.
CLEAR RATES. A PROPER SCOPE.
Know the scope. Know the cost.
Build the production around what you actually need.
A single interview and a production across several locations call for different plans. A good Watford video production company should explain the filming, crew, editing, travel and specialist requirements before you book.
These are our current production rates. We explain how they apply to your brief, including the final versions and review stages included.
Yes. We travel from our bases in Sudbury, Suffolk and Colchester, Essex, and film across Watford, Bushey, Rickmansworth, Croxley Green, Chorleywood, Abbots Langley, Kings Langley and the rest of south-west Hertfordshire. Share the exact address and preferred date so we can confirm travel and availability.
Have you filmed in Watford before?+
Not yet. Our nearest published work is in St Albans, about seven miles away, where we covered a Foodies Festival stop for Jellyshotz. The projects on this page were filmed in a London studio, at Caterham in Surrey and near Aldermaston in Berkshire, and each one is labelled with where it was made.
How much does video production in Watford cost?+
Our current filming rates start at £249 for the first on-location hour per operator and £99 for each additional hour per operator. Editing is £49 per hour. We quote the complete project around crew time, filming, editing, travel and any specialist requirements, and no VAT is currently added to our prices.
How is travel to Watford charged?+
Travel is calculated from our Sudbury base (CO10 0JA) using driving routes. Watford is more than 25 driving miles away, so mileage is waived and the estimated round-trip driving time is charged at £49 per hour, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. Parking and other location costs are agreed separately.
SHOW MORE QUESTIONSSHOW FEWER QUESTIONS
Can you film staff speaking to camera with a teleprompter?+
Yes. A teleprompter helps contributors deliver an agreed script naturally and keeps technical detail consistent between takes. It is a £99 add-on for standard equipment and setup. For Root-Power we filmed two scripted pieces at its Tillingdown site in about two hours from setup to pack-down.
Can you film at two locations on the same day?+
Often, yes. If two briefs are close enough, booking them within one filming day can avoid a second call-out. Root-Power did this when we filmed at Tillingdown and then at South Essex Wildlife Hospital later the same day.
Do you make music videos?+
Yes. We plan performance and story coverage with the artist, and can run several cameras at once so every take gives the edit more angles. RIDI's Creep was filmed in a London studio by one operator using three cameras.
Can you film an event or visitor attraction?+
Yes. We can follow the visitor journey and capture real moments without interrupting the day, then deliver a promotional film and short social edits. For Wasing near Aldermaston we filmed its pumpkin patch and woodland trail as one seasonal story.
Can drone filming be included near Watford?+
Sometimes, subject to the exact location, the airspace and the permissions needed. Parts of south-west Hertfordshire are close to airfields and London's controlled airspace, so we check restrictions before confirming aerial shots. Drone filming added to a production starts at £199 for the first allocated hour, then £49 per hour.
Can photography be booked alongside the video?+
Yes. We can send a photographer and a videographer to the same shoot or event, so you get stills and films from one booking. Photography uses the same hourly rates as filming.
